QuickTurn is a short stop between consecutive aircraft sorties. There is a flurry of activity that occurs by a large group of people to get the aircraft back in the air on time. This "orchestrated" event seemed to be a natural target for the name of the band considering its members.
QuickTurn is Tim Hebel, Scott Erickson, Rob Shepherd and Lynn Hebel. The band has been playing together since 2002. Three of the members are pilots, the other, a housewife. Our music tends to lean toward the lighter side of life, often based on true and unusual stories. Weve been told that we sound like a cross between A-Ha and They Might Be Giants.
Tim Hebel plays bass guitar and sings lead vocals. Lynn Hebel is married to the bass player and plays keys. Scott Erickson plays guitar. He's also known as The Chameleon due to his vast knowledge of musicians and their music. He can play anything at a moments notice. Rob Shepherd is our drummer. We haven't convinced him to sing for us yet, though.
