About me: quiet was created in 2003 to facilitate the development of independent music and culture of all kinds in westernmost North Carolina. quiet consists of a print zine, a music news blog, and a web forum. We are based in Sylva, but our scope encompasses Cullowhee, Cherokee, Waynesville, and many points between and beyond.
quiet is a not-for-profit operation, and as such we hold ourselves only very loosely to things like schedules and standards of professionalism. We do try our best to spread information as quickly and effectively as possible and to aid communication between interesting people in our area.

We're going to be live on the streets in Franklin this Friday, the 24th. Come out and join us. See how many friends you can bring. We're hoping to do some video shooting as well.
