THIS SITE IS SOON TO BE UPDATED........see Myspace Peter Quiggins .........or www.quiggins.com,(for the THRUTH about what happened to QUIGGINS click on to History) CAN WE MAKE IT CLEAR THE REAL QUIGGINS IS NOT ASSOCIATED IN ANY WAY TO ANY BUILDING IN LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE MASQUERADING AS "QUIGGINS" see Myspace QUIGGINS ATTIQUE the new "REAL QUIGGINS" SHOP!!!!
For the last 18 years, Quiggins has been at the heart of Liverpool’s cultural scene. More than just a groundbreaking shopping experience, the Quiggins Centre is a long-established hothouse for Liverpool’s creative talent.
Artists, musicians and those ‘in the know’ understand that when it comes to what’s happening in Liverpool, Quiggins is at the cutting edge.
Quiggins lies at the heart of the Bluecoat Triangle development in which Liverpool Council and Grosvenor Estates plan to develop the cultural quarter of Liverpool alongside the larger redevelopment of areas of the city centre.
Quiggins do not object to these plans and look forward to the redevelopment of the city centre but we do object to the decision to remove Quiggins from this area.
We have a disadvantage; we are indigenous to Liverpool, not outsiders. This City only trusts outside companies.
Quiggins is committed to Liverpool’s cultural industry and has been since its formation 18 years ago. It houses 45 local businesses, employing 250 local people, all helping to recycle within our local economy.
Quiggins is having to fight hard to fit in with our City of Culture Bid!

LADYTRON, new album and UK tour.
Liverpool band LADYTRON are set to release their fourth full-length album, Velocifero, on June 2nd 2008 via the Nettwerk Music Group. They will also play a number of shows in the UK and mainland Europe prior to the release of the album before heading off to North America for a 30+ date tour with new labelmates Datarock in support. Recorded in Paris, Velocifero was produced by Ladytron with additional production from Vicarious Bliss of Ed Banger Records (Justice, DJ Mehdi, Busy P) and Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails). The album was mixed by Michael Patterson (Beck, P. Diddy). Velocifero is the follow up to the band's 2005 release Witching Hour, with which Ladytron toured the world for nearly two years, both as headliners and as support for acts such as Nine Inch Nails and the Chemical Brothers. An infectious synth-pop record raging with unbridled energy, it featured the intoxicating single Destroy Everything You Touch. Ladytron - Helen Marnie, Mira Aroyo, Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu - is planning a worldwide tour for the remainder of 2008 and into 2009….stay tuned for further information. Confirmed UK and Irish tour dates are as follow: 29.04. 08 LIVERPOOL The New Picket 30.04. 08 MANCHESTER Academy 3 13.05.08 GLASGOW Oran Mor 14.05. 08 NEWCASTLE Digital 15.05.08 LONDON Astoria 16.05.08 DUBLIN Tripod HYPERLINK "http://www. ladytron. com" www. ladytron. com HYPERLINK "http://www. myspace. com/ladytron" www. myspace. com/ladytron LADYTRON www. ladytron. com www. myspace. com/ladytron

"...The Liverpool band prove that three-minute pop ditties is not all that comes out of the 2008 European Capital of Culture. Cleverly layered sounds and atmospheres collide to keep the listeners attention .... you just know the guys do this for the love because it is just too damn clever for the mainstream", Classic Rock Society
