Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

Hand to Hand - the coast to coast collaborative collage of
Rebecca Trawick and David Wallace

Over the course of two years, Rebecca and I traded collages back and forth through the mail, adding to each work as it changed hands. Throughout this process, we never met in person - I live in Pittsburgh, and Rebecca lives in Southern CA. We found that working together was a way to communicate on a purely creative level. We weren’t interested in becoming “pen pals,” but rather in seeing how our two styles could combine to create work that was not completely me, not totally her, but something new and surprising to us both. The work debuted at Moxie Dada in Pittsburgh in January 2007 and has since been shown at Phd Gallery in St. Louis and Tangent Lab in Wichita, working its way across the U.S. in much the same way the pieces themselves traveled between the two of us.

You can view all of the work in this series at my website:
http://salaczar. com/collaborative. html

"This beautiful collection of collages holds no specific thematic intentions; there are no hidden messages to interpret. Each piece offers its own vocabulary, images for which viewers can create their own meanings. Or one can simply appreciate the image for its aesthetic value as a beautiful work of art." - Janera Soloman, Pittsburgh City Paper

with video projections, props and puppets.

Hello Quiltman! Thanks for joining my friends! Your work is very interesting & makes me think - ouch! How did you get into the art quilt scene? I design my quilts, but I'm more of a traditional type. I love to play with color & shapes.

Also, if you get a chance, check out my band, the3christs at www. myspace. com/the3christs. Listen to our latest, "Cocoa Bean" & leave a comment.

Interesting, too, you are the second person who had something about "peace" on his profile that I visited today. I am really looking for some peace myself so I can rediscover me & re-unleash my creativity.

Have a super day!
