Her love of music began from the moment she heard the first musical notes in childhood, but it was not until the summer of 2007 that she took her first steps towards a professional music career and began to define her own style. By the end of 2008, now armed with regular professional training, Quimera's voice started to emerge in to a powerful Alto with a unique Mezzo-Soprano / Contra-Alto tessitura range, thus opening the gates for her music and style to mature as well. Now known as Quimera Music, the music and her style continued evolving. In 2009 Patrick Rundbladh joined Quimera as official composer and music director, it was then that Quimera Music began to create the specific style and quality of music and vocals that Quimera had been aiming for from the onset of her professional career. Patrick Rundbladh (Composer, Guitarist), Reed Taylor (Sound Engineer, Bass) and Quimera (Vocals, Lyrics and Vocals Melodies) finally had the perfect chemistry... Quimera Music was born. With the release of the songs Face To Face, Requiem and Starlight, Quimera Music began to receive media and fans recognition, being hailed as "Hypnotic", "The new sound the music industry is looking for" and "Otherworldly Magic". In November 24th 2009 Quimera Music's debut album, a collaborative effort called Love and Madness released under Twilight Records, to very favorable critic reviews and support from radio stations and fans, showing the first signs of Quimera Music as a very promising act. In 2010, Quimera Music sang the lead theme for the independent film Somewhere In Between (Released 2010). Quimera Music is also proud to be a supporter of the children charity The Smile Train. Her song When Tomorrow Comes, especially written to benefit the children of The Smile Train released worldwide. In the meantime, in the spring of 2010, Quimera and Patrick began writing Quimera Music second full studio album, a colossal double album, planned for late 2011 release. What's Next? In January 2011, Quimera Music's permanent touring band was assembled and they are currently very busy touring with their new release More Than Human EP - Remastered, a nine song EP Released August 23rd, 2011. Quimera Music continues establishing their recognizable sound, which they describe as "Symphonic Rock, integrating Classical, Rock and Cinematic Melodies." The combination of their music with Quimera's unmistakable velvety voice, transforms songs in to unforgettable auditory phenomena. Quimera Music reaches their audiences with music and vocals that range from warm and soft, to aggressive and moving. Their haunting and awe inspiring music creates unique worlds for us to lose ourselves for a while. Symphonic Rock Band Quimera Music

Quimera Music is a symphonic-rock band founded in the Spring of 2008 by vocalist Quimera (pronounced Ki-me-ra). By the end of 2008 it was evident that Quimera’s voice -a unique powerful Alto with Contra-Alto tessitura range- was fully emerging, as a result, her music experienced a rapid evolution.

In 2009 Swedish composer Patrick Rundbladh joined 'Quimera Music' as composer, it was then that the band began to produce the specific style and quality of songs that Quimera had been aiming for from the onset of her professional career. She calls the arrival of Patrick as the moment when Quimera Music was truly born.

With the release of the songs Face To Face, Requiem and Starlight, Quimera Music began to receive media and fans recognition, being hailed as “Hypnotic”, “The new sound the music industry is looking for” and “Otherworldly Magic”. In November 24th 2009, Quimera Music’s debut album, still a collaborative composers effort titled 'Love and Madness' released with a distribution deal with the Independent Argentinean label Twilight Records. This first album received very favorable critic reviews and support from radio stations and fans, showing the first signs of 'Quimera Music' being a very promising act.

In the spring of 2010, Quimera and Patrick began writing Quimera Music’s second full studio album titled IMMORTAL, a colossal 20 track double album, planned for 2012 release and this time fully written by Patrick and Quimera. In the same year, Quimera’s voice was included in the soundtrack for the independent film 'Somewhere In Between' (Released 2010). Also in 2010, the song 'When Tomorrow Comes', especially written to benefit the children of The Smile Train Charity released.

On August 23, 2011 'More Than Human' EP was released, meant to showcase where 'Quimera Music' had evolved from 2009 and as a preview of their upcoming album IMMORTAL. Completed by lead guitarist Patrick Rundbladh, bassist Reed Taylor and drummer Christian Vardeleon, the 'Quimera Music' line-up spent a great portion of 2011 in their first promotional New York circuit tour titled 'More Than Human' and finishing the recordings of their second full album, IMMORTAL.

On March 13, 2012 their sumptuous double album IMMORTAL released, receiving the best reviews yet and heavy accolades by fans. Their online fan base quintupled this year and it became clear that 'Quimera Music' was solidifying their very own place in the world of music.

2013 will see the release of their third full studio album 'VISITORS'. It is now just a matter of time for the band to go from New York's well-kept secret, to exploding into the mainstream spotlight.

Undoubtedly, Quimera Music has mastered the art of being powerful and sublime at the same time.
