   Quirk Books's Blurbs
About me:
Welcome to our strange world. In Quirk, you'll find a publisher of impractical reference and irreverent nonfiction (probably the first ever). You'll find a publisher of humor books, of pop culture books, of gift books, of reference books, and of hybrid books that cross over from market to market and genre to genre.

Inspired by the belief that a healthy appreciation for the absurd is the key to both happiness and success, Quirk's mission is to originate, develop, and publish nontraditional and innovative crossover books that are objects of desire editorially, graphically, and physically.

We amuse, bemuse, entertain, and inform (not necessarily in that order, but usually all at the same time). We publish books on Crafting, Parenting, Pets, Pop Culture, Love & Relationships, and more, and in our short lifespan (since 2002), several of our books have become bestsellers!

Our products are available wherever books and gifts are sold and at www.quirkbooks.com.

Solstice (2008)Genre:Horror-What should have been a fun week in a tropical paradise turns ominous as Meghan starts to feel the presence of her sister all around. When mysterious and eerie things start to occur, she is convinced here sister is trying to contact her from the dead. Slowly she convinces her friends that she is not imagining things and on the night of the summer solstice, when this world and the next are closest in harmonic convergence an apparition appears to them all from the other side, but it is not Sophie and the messages it carries will change their lives for ever. ..

Oh Quirk Books, where would I be without you? That time I knocked a lit candle over and spilled a ton of wax on my bed, who was there for me? Two words: Karen Onorato. Ok, nine words: Karen Onorato with Quirk Books' Field Guide to Stains. Who knew that you're supposed to iron the wax out over newsprint? That book did. I didn't. So where would I be without Quirk books? What would I be? A vagabond? The 20th 9/11 hijacker? God only knows.

Hi Quirk, I love your books. They are funny AND informative. I laugh while I learn when I read your books. They expand my capacity for love and understanding towards my fellow man. And sometimes, when it's raining or I'm lonely or my mom and dad are fighting, your books whisk me away to a magical place where I don't have to be afraid . . . and I can hold on for another day.
