About me: An international movement of single and partnered people resisting the tyranny of coupledom: i.e., the idea that you must be in a romantic relationship at all times in order to be happy
Quirkyalone (noun): noun/adj. A person who enjoys being single (but is not opposed to being in a relationship) and generally prefers to be alone rather than dating for the sake of being in a couple. With unique traits and an optimistic spirit; a sensibility that transcends relationship status. See also quirkytogether, perkytogether, quirkyslut.
Although we quirkyalones enjoy solitude, and sometimes even need and crave it, we are NOT loners. We typically have a strong network of friends. Most of us place a high premium on friendship.

Hi Sasha, We hope to see you soon! Have a safe and fun holiday season. May 2008 bring you continued happiness and success. Hugs from your friends @ Singelringen
Hello Quirky, After visiting your website over and over I finally bought the book and read it cover to cover. I'm now using it as my cultural text for my gender studies assignment on the philosophy of love and friendship. Let's hope I spread some quirky love. xx
I couldn't remember if I'd said thanks for the add - such is the mess in my head!! Drop by anytime - there's always time for a coffee, a cookie and a quirky chat! Quirky (alone!)x
Thanks for the add. Have I mentioned how psych'd I am that I get to be in the to-do list book?? Keep on keeping on. Sincerely signed, Quirkyslut bbdreamer.
Thelma & Louise was shown on channel 5 the same day I got the book, scored 116 on the test, planning my self marriage as soon as I can get a firm 'yes'
hey sasha, thanks for the add. i heart QA. i once lent it to a friend and had to wrestle her to the ground to get it back! i don't lend it out anymore. ;)
Turns out I have always been a quirkyalone, until the book came out I just didn't know there was a name for it. Once I knew there were others who felt the same way, I was finally able to stop worrying about what was "wrong" with me and get on with enjoying life on my own terms. For that, I will be eternally grateful. Thank you!
what's the problem with myspace? when will they get with the program and make quirkyalone one of the choices for relationship status? let's all send messages to that tom guy and fix this.
happy belated quirkyalone day! i listened to the audio archive of the npr interview that morning to celebrate, and was very impressed by the wit and composure of one sasha cagen!
