Janet started writing songs in Paris when she was a 14 year old exchange student. Her host gave her a beat up guitar and a pile of old Serge Gainsbourg cassettes. her first song was about a rat. her second was about all the thousands of rooms in her mind.
She started performing her music and poetry at 19 while hitchhiking in northeast australia. She has since travelled and performed in Canada, Scandanavia, Europe and Australia.
Janet plays her voice, the banjo, the geetar a ukelale if one is handy, and many other string things. She acts, writes, paints, designs sets, and composes. her favourite words are bone, stone, pamplemousse and dumpling. She sees melodies in mountains and hears colours in clouds.
Janet performs in outrageous theatre productions sometimes and designs origami things and dreams up good ideas and paints pictures for her friends in sydney NSW.
