Qynns mix of guitars, vocals and V-Drums, assault, caress, smash and tease, all within a few bars. Staying faithful to the past, one of the most original and exciting artists ever to emerge from western shores, is blazing his own path.
Guitar Playing is one thing..Drumming and percussion, now that is a world completely unto itself. Usually the brunt of crass witticisms and senseless jealousy from those less dextrous, i have a lot of respect for those types...Singing.....personal, honest and emotive. Windows into a universe not usually divulged. These three things i bring to the stage and combine. a cocktail, if you will, of all my experince and then some.
I smash, beat, fondle and caress my guitar all in a totally androgonous kind of way......no that is not entirely true, there is definately a pent up sexuality and raw power that gives guitar slingers the world over the "face" of the money shot...So how do i describe my efforts!?
Bloody great fun, uplifting, confronting, loving and hating, nervous as all hell whilst exuding a calmness that is total bullshit.
Am i a good musician?? Sometimes when it all comes together and i dont trip up, i can give a vague impression.
As the years have rolled by, i find myself less interested in wank and bollocks and more concerned with being a good father, husband and friend.
Hopefully these attitudes will permeate my music, answering any and or all questions along the way.
I play wonderful instruments, meet people i never thought would give me the time of day, play with my idols and have the love of a good woman.
I am of Aboriginal/German/French descent, like Carlton Football club, still get a laugh out of Monty Python and have 2 unfinished science degrees in Oenology and Viticulture.
