   About r8 ur art

luv ur art?

h8 ur art??

r8 ur art ...is an exciting, original and truly unique event that will integrate art and technology in an innovative display highlighting the thoughts, views and indeed memories of the Dublin public regarding public art.
Using such modern communication technology such as Bebo, MySpace and SMS text, these thoughts and views will be collected and displayed in audio-visual format and displayed in a gallery space for a period of three days. This display will be an interactive, ever-changing one, as the more responses received the more the exhibition receives new material.

So please comment us on any piece of public art in Dublin that you love, hate, thinks a waste of money, was a great choice or simply a nice piece of art!

Not on Myspace, well check out our Bebo page HERE!

The Spire:
When I stand at the bottom and look up I get kinda dizzy.
Also love that if up Killiney Hill at night you can locate the centre of the city.Dublin is flat it stands out.

James Joyce:
Kinda indifferent to be honest.

Famine Victims:
Remind me of when some friends came over from Spain - they were good photographers and we took loads of photos pretending we were other characters. Great weekend!
The statues are really erie aswell, makes you think about old Ireland. I think these are my favorite.

Winter trees:
Don't like them!

Molly:
Yeah grand - more for the tourists I think.

Lynott:
Location is perfect outside Bruxells.I dont't like the way it is the same material for Molly and Lynott - They are close together but represent something different.

Walking:
Havn't actually seen it but it looks fun and interactive. More of this please.

In that profile picture i love that the dude in the background smoking is in the exact same stanse as auld Joucey there, all he needs is a hat and cane. Good timing?

Anyway, i love the Famine memorial, kinda eery, im into it.
The digital walking art on o'connell street is deadly too, original.

I like the writing on park benches too and grafitti that doesnt look shit, like tags without meaning.

And me when i walk down the street as im artface apparently, haha. That was a joke. God.

Now, ive said my peace.

really great idea! my favourite sculpture is the spire! u always know how far u are away from o connell st when u see it from miles away! also its a good meeting point! I think the ones at the top of stephens green are a bit pointless, no information about them where they are, and to be honest they look ridiculous! hope the event goes well! look forward to checking it out!
