Mes intérêts
"What interests me?" Hmm. What DOESN'T interest me should be the question! One could say my interest is life in general. There's nothing I am not fascinated by. I'm the kind of guy who hears or reads a new word and will stop everything and look it up in the dictionary for it's definition AND the root language. Then I'll start reading books about that specific language and so on and so forth.
I find people are always good subjects to observe. It wasn't always the case; I had a hard time relating with folk when I was younger, but these days I've adopted a "don't give a shit" attitude and go out there not trying to fit in. If you don't like me, oh fucking well. Anyways, I don't limit my interactions and like striking conversations with nearly every walk of life that intersects with mine. ALTHOUGH I don't have time for stupid and/or the drama-ridden.
PHOTOGRAPHY - Didn't go to school for it, presently working because of it and having slight success. Funny how life works. Anywho, I currently have nine cameras, my workhorse being a Nikon D200. Couple that with a billion lenses and I'm a happy shutterbug. In time, I'd really like to own a field camera and an old school twin-lens reflex. Been experimenting with black and white and double exposures lately; still very much interested in portraitures but no one's biting. I honestly can claim that I can make ANYONE photogenic. Even dead people. And yes, I've photographed them too. So now you know who to come to for free professional MySpace default pics!
BOOKS - Fuck. I have so many books that I don't keep track of them by author... I weigh them by the ton. All I know is I'm in big trouble once I get my place in San Francisco. There are too many books to list here, so I'll give you a list of the authors I usually read (in no particular order): Gaiman, Bing, Shakespeare, Machiavelli, Chaucer, Anthony, Tolkien, Herbert, Capote, Hawking, Sagan, Sun, Salinger, Vonnegut, Plath, Bradbury, Robeson, Rand, Jung, Mead, Doyle, Burroughs, Wordsworth, Cummings, Poe, Hemingway, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Asimov, DuBois, Thoreau, Voltaire, Sartre, St. Augustine, Rousseau, Adams, Dumas, so on and so forth...
ART - Thanks to two unexpectedly inspirational persons - one of whom I don't talk to anymore - I've been giving art yet another chance. Mostly sketches and painting, but I'm training my hand for sequential art (i.e. comic book art) again. The hardest thing for me is accepting my work as good, as many say it is. Yet in my mind... it's crap. Strangely enough, because of MySpace I've begun designing tattoos for a few friends. Not for money... just because they like my stuff. Knowing there are people out there willing to have whatever they request me to draw PERMANENTLY INKED into their skin blows my mind. Aside from the skin art, I'm throwing my hat in designing t-shirts and crap. Yet that's a real work-in-progress. Favorite artist of the moment: Geof Darrow

Claiming that I love to travel is an understatement. I'll go nearly anywhere at anytime (if I have the cash). The places I wanna visit more than anything at this moment are Japan and Italy.
I was officially recognized as possessing an Intelligence Quotient of 137. Not great, but not bad either. So close to genius level...
For the past six years, I've kept all the fortunes I've cracked from those delectable cookies. Seriously, I have hundreds. And only recently have I received my first duplicate fortune. I have a method to eating the cookie as well: I crack it in half and eat one portion BEFORE reading the fortune because in my mind, it won't come true until I eat half the cookie. I know, I know. I'm a weirdo.
I have a million and one interests, but I don't know how to keep the whole fucking lot of them. I love to play music - evident as I own three guitars, two pianos, and formerly a drum set (not to mention a few kazoos and harmonicas) - as well as learn languages including Latin, Japanese, Mandarin, French, Patois, Spanish, HTML and l337 (it counts!). Thing is, I go from one to the other each day so I'm not as proficient in any hobby to be considered competant. At least that's my opinion...
I'm a big dork. I've read and collected comics since I was 5, although I haven't bought a single rag in 5 years. Only TPBs (trade paperbacks). I was a late bloomer when it came to video games but I've made up for lost time in spades. However, my loyalty will forever remain with Nintendo. Through thick and thin.
I love love LOVE sports. If you don't like sports then we have problems, straight up. Doesn't have to be a fanatic level of fandom, but I follow my basketball, football (and fútbol), and baseball fairly well. I like to play them too, so I'm double trouble.
Without any concept of relationships and marriage, I had the notion in my head when I was 5 that I'd have about ten kids - each one from a different baby momma. Of a different ethnicity. I wanted the Benetton version of the Brady Bunch. But as I've aged, I learned about child support and bills and whatnot...
I have an interest in religion, but I'm not necessarily "religious" by most people's standards. I pick and choose, as I believe all people should do. The Qur'an. Bible. Torah. The Vinaya Pitaka and such... all proclaim pretty much the same edicts. If I had to affiliate myself to a belief system, I'd say I'm Buddhist.
