About me:
Hey everyone ! I am Richard Lewis Springthrope; but you probably know me as RICK SPRINGFIELD!! I was born in 1949 in Merrylands, Sydney, Australia. in 1959 my family moved to England because of my fathers military career. My love for music really began when i turned 13, and recieved my first gutiar!! In 1964, i had my first preformance with my friend Johnny as the "Icy Blues." I then left highschhool and was asked to join "The Rock House." I played with them until about 1969 then a band "zoot" accepted me as their vocalist and gutairist. i recorded Speak to the Sky and it became a top ten in Australia. I then moved to the USA in 1972 on the sucsess of it. I then did a bunch of different projects. I had gotten an acting deal and recored some new stuff. Then in 1982, the song that you all know, i recorded Jesse's girl and won a grammy..
