Interests

  • General

Writing, singing, acting, dancing, bowling, playing video-games and watching movies.
  • Music

I pretty much like all music, with various exceptions in certain genre's... but if you play it, I'll probably listen to it!
  • Movies

Superman The Movie, Lawrence of Arabia, The Matrix (and it's sequels), Batman Begins, Blazing Saddles, Raiders of the Lost Arc, The Shawshank Redemption, The Majestic, Mortal Kombat, Star Wars Trilogy (yes, all of them), Zorro: The Gay Blade, Chicago, and much, much more...
  • Television

Monty Python, Harvey Birdman, Trigun, Guyver, DBZ, Sledge Hammer, Whose Line Is It Anyway, Futurama, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Tenchi Muyo, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Loony Tunes and more!
  • Books

Dune, The Good Earth, Gates of Fire, Oedipus Rex, The Illiad, The Odyssey, Beowulf and more that I'm forgetting.
  • Heroes

First and foremost, my Parents, Roy and Deb Brandt. Then my sister Angela who always looked out for me. Then my Uncle Pat, who helped spur my love of writing. My Grandpa Gayle Brandt, a man whose heart was big and seemingly larger than life to me. God, who gave me a life to live. Among others are Abraham Lincoln, FDR, Ray Charles, Amelia Earhart, Superman (yes, he's fictional but dammit, his books made me want to be a better person), Frank Darabount, Alan Moore, Roger Stern, Tom DeFalco, Karl Kesel, Mozart, Beethoven, Jimi Hendrix, Steven Spielberg, Erik Clapton, Peter Gabriel, Bono, George Harrison, Terry Gilliam, Mother Teresa, Ghandi, MLK Jr., Christopher Reeve and many more.

Some of the people listed were far from perfect, but still I admire them despite their flaws and I try to learn from the past. But all of them, every single one, inspires me to try to achieve my dreams and be the best person I can be.

About me:

Hi! Welcome to my page! I'm Ryan Brandt and I like doing things.

What things, you might ask? Well, writing, acting, directing, singing/karaoke... if there's some sort of entertainment medium I haven't worked in, I aim on doing something with it somewhere down the line. ;)

As for the particulars of those sections, I've written multiple comic books and been published in various Anthologies/OGN's. You can check out some of my work on Wowio or buy copies of it on Comixpress. The books in question are Marcus Midnight: Monster Hunter (which has it's own Myspace page) or Tales From The RABverse.

My most recent published work was Cereal and Pajamas from APE Entertainment.

I'm also a part of a local sketch comedy group called WTF, with my film buddies Josh Jones and Joel Brown. We have a myspace page as well, it's the first one listed in 'Friends'.

I'm always working on something, as of now I'm creating an insane musical (about zombies) and I'm also currently writing a few screenplays in the hopes of potentially selling them, as slight as a hope that might be.

The only other thing you need to know about me is that I'm impulsive, insane and willing to try any new creative outlet, but hey... it keeps life interesting ^_^

Thanks for checking out my page!

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a good sense of humor. Also cool people who share interests in comics, comedy, movies or music. Especially the sick sonova gun who cut the blasted cheese!

Two hunters are out hunting. One of them falls over and seems not to be breathing.

His friend calls 911* and cries, “What do I do?”

“Well, first, let’s make sure he’s dead,” says the operator. There is silence, and then a shot rings out.

The hunter returns to the phone and says, “Okay, now what?”
