I wish I could say I love obscure, atonal bands which find their greatest fanbase in those who assume there are no other fans in their fanbase. I can't. I like it big, good, harmonious, rich, loud, and if at all possible (but this is not a requirement) filled with intelligent anger, pathos, regret, sentimentality or at the very least some impressive instrumentation and super songwriting.Poisonblack, Septic Flesh, Viikate, Amorphis, Korn, Carcass, Children of Bodom, Volbeat, Down, Qntal, NiN, David Bowie, early Van Halen, Edith Piaf, 69 Eyes, Iced Earth, Black Label Society, Audioslave, Massive Attack, Snoop, AC/DC, Celldweller, Muse, cKy, Billie Holliday, Edith Piaf, classical works by Stravinsky, Aram Khachaturian, Chopin, Debussy, Dave Brubeck Quartet...tons more, I can't begin to list them all.

I like science-fiction flicks quite a bit, (if they're well made, which means that the horrible, mangled adaptation of 'Hitchhiker's' does NOT count here, what a mess that was!) as well as period pieces (Remains of the Day, Austen adaptations), some comedies and the occasional quirky drama/horror like Usual Suspects or Seven. I can't be bothered to list everything I like, to be honest!ТВ
I really detest 99% of what television has to offer, and usually end up finding what I want to see on YouTube instead. :PКниги
Way too many to mention but a recent favourite was "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman, really enjoyed it. The last 2-3 years I have re-read or read stuff like 'Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight', 'Brave New World', 'Elegance' by Genevieve Dariaux, and the A.N. Roquelaure (Anne Rice) "Beauty" erotic trilogy. I also have a thing for vintage books for women, fantasy by Terry Pratchett and Ian Irvine, and the occasional book by Carl Sagan or Issac Asimov. .. I cannot resist good Vietnamese, Japanese or French cookbooks, or vintage cookbooks from any cuisine.Кумиры

There's not really many living people that intrigue me that much. But just the same, here goes.So many of mine are dead.....heh.
Let's see...uh.. Gypsy Rose Lee, Issac Asimov, Beethoven, Carl Sagan, Oscar Wilde, Trent Reznor, Bette Davis, Kevyn Aucoin, Beryl Markham, Marilyn Monroe, (I would have so many damn things to tell her about women after her time!) and my great-grandparents, oh and MAE WEST. Love, love, love this woman. She had a level of confidence, sexuality, wit and independence that is truly inspiring.
Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter - because this gentle, bright couple had more class in their little finger than most ex-presidents put together. Everything they've done has been touched with generosity and elegance of thought and
manner.
Johnny Cash - just to hear him sing in person. What an incredible voice he had.
Jane Austen - love her books, would love to ask her 1000 questions about what she never wrote about. Also to record her astonishment and horror about how coarse life is now and the ruinous state of the English language.
Ghengis Khan - just so I can show him the news and hear him rant about how NOT to invade a country.
Keziah Champion - The Anglicised name of a Creek indian woman who was my great, great grandmother and walked the Trail of Tears with my great-grandfather. I'd like to have known her, spoken to her and also to know her actual name.
