About me: I'm just your average mid-twenties kinda guy. I like to think I'm a pretty boring person. My biggest passion right now is in costuming. Superheroes, cartoon/anime characters and historical recreations I love it all! Historical recreation is actually my fondest aspect of costuming, and what I'd consider my strongest area. I'm a sucker for 18th century stays, panniers, Victorian corsetry, bustle gowns, Civil War gowns, Edwardian clothing....I could go on and on. I simply love pouring over historic fashion plates learning about the clothing.
You can also catch me around at anime and sci-fi cons. I try to attend at least five a year if not more. Getting to hang with friends, all the costume freaks and meeting new people is such a blast. I would love to someday start hosting panels on costuming and share some of this knowledge I've been acquiring over the years.
I maintain a personal website with my costume portfolio and commissioning at rabidfanboy.com. Feel free to check it out if you'd like.
Who I'd like to meet: A li'l cliche, but the guy of my dreams. Seriously, if I could meet me a decent guy who wasn't scared off by my costuming I'd be set.
Since that fantasy isn't likely to play out...How 'bout meeting some people with similar interests, or folks just up for some random shit!
Yeah Ill be heading up D*C this year. Hopefully it will be a bit better for me this year rather than last year...maybe this time Ill actually get a pass. Laster year the line was so long I never ended up gettin one so I couldnt go do any of the events...legally anyway >_>
^_^ AX was fun. I had an awsome time with friends! I think I'll be going back next year. I've already got a costume plan! hehe The con itself... well... I thought it was way lame that you had to pay to play games in the video game room, the masquerade ball was very very LAME and the masquerade itself was a bit disapointing. I guess I was just expecting too much, more of a show ya know... where it was held wasn't too bad, the shuttles got a bit hectic but the walk was definatly enjoyable at least IMO... It was really not bad with the exeption that nothing around there was really cheap. OUr hotel had like it's own mall and on the 4th floor there was a foodcourt and a few places that didn't rape your wallet. This one place had an awsome homemade breakfast for like $4.95! I ate there twice. lol Anyhow before I write a book here... *ponders about blogging*... I did have a good time. Thank you for asking.
So my plan was to make you this cute little video with Nicole and I saying Happy Birthday last night. Well.. we came home, and passed out. Like.. no joke.
