Aaron Peirsol's "Race for the Oceans"'s Blurbs
About me: What's up everyone, I'm Aaron. I'm a competitive swimmer from Irvine, Calif. training for the summer 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The backstroke is my favorite.
Growing up along the Southern California coast, I witnessed tons of examples of ocean destruction. One summer officials even had to close down a stretch of my favorite beach because it was too dirty and dangerous to swim in!
Our environmental problems are the result of short-sightedness, and the solution is for people to realize that our actions today have long-term implications.
I can't sit back and watch our planet's largest ecosystem become a vapid wasteland, which is why I recently teamed up with Oceana - the largest international group focused 100 percent on ocean protection.
With Oceana's help, I've created a site called "Race for the Oceans," a forum that will allow swimmers and swimming fans to dive into ocean conservation. I'm asking all of you to check out the site and join me as I begin the toughest race of my life: the race for the oceans!
Who I'd like to meet: Ocean lovers like me who are interested in saving the world's most precious resource before human forces like bottom trawling, overfishing and pollution destroy it beyond repair.
Who's with me?

I thank you. Gratitude is an exquisite form of courtesy. People who enjoy the companionship of good, close friends are those who don't take daily courtesies for granted. They are quick to thank their friends for their many expressions of kindness. On the other hand, people whose circle of friends is severely constricted often do not have the attitude of gratitude.
Hi Aaron. Thanks for your coming in Paris, again congratulations for your performs. I hope you've had a great time here, during and after the competition. I know you go back today, so good trip and see you... Take Care Elodie
