*HAPPY TO ADD BANDS AND MUSICIANS BUT PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE - I'M GETTING SPAMMED SILLY BY THE 'GENERATE A ZILLION FRIENDS' FOLKS - AND I'M NOT HAVIN' IT*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Described as “sweet and heartfelt”, “inspired and inspiring”, this independent Australian artist who calls The Blue Mountains (west of Sydney) home is joined by long time collaborator and guitarist Nigel Kerr, the two delivering an intimate and diverse collection of acoustic tunes that draw on the best of folk, blues, jazz and contemporary popular music. With a truly remarkable voice and a grab bag of charming songs that range in subject matter from the deeply personal to the reassuringly universal, Brady is, in a world of over-produced commercial music; honest, real, perceptive and engaging. Shunning the offer of a generous 2007 record deal with a small Australian indie label, Brady and Kerr have instead opted for a more autonomous approach to their music citing as the reason "complete and unconditional freedom to make their own choices and their own mistakes". To date they have entirely self funded two full albums; "Peace by Peace" released in 2006 and "Somewhere Sunshine" released in 2008, both recorded in Brisbane's West End with producer Paulie B at the helm, bass player for award winning OZ bands "george" and more recently, "The Beautiful Girls".
