   About Rachael Sage Street Team

Q: So, what's all this about a Street Team?

A: At MPress Records, we're always looking for excitable and enthusiastic folks to join Rachael's Street Team and help spread the word about her music. With over 200 worldwide members and counting, we rely on our Street Team's word-of-mouth prowess, promotional zeal and collective chutzpah to continually build Rachael's grassroots fanbase — and help keep her career moving forward!

Q: Once I sign up, what can I expect?

A: After you agree to promote a show in your area, here's what you'll receive: a swag-o-licious sparklefest of promo, in a package lovingly sent to your doorstep a few weeks before Rachael is due to come through your town. Armed with an ample supply of posters and postcards, you'll hit up your favorite hipster hangouts and local underground hot spots (coffeehouses, clubs, record stores, etc.), spreading the good-shpiel and stirring up the buzz so as to ensure a packed house on show night!

You can also download .pdf versions of the posters and print your own!

Chandelier PDF

Q: I really dig Rachael's music and am excited to help out, but ... um ... will I receive any special treatment or exclusive tchatchkes for my invaluable Street Team efforts?

A: Funny you should ask! Yes — in return for your mitzvot (good deeds), we'll put you on our VIP guest list for the evening, overwhelm you with goodies such as CDs, stickers, T-shirts and other fun stuff, and most importantly, sing your praises in the MPress office, where you'll be blessed with the infinite good karma of helping to promote one of your favorite independent artists!

Q: Are there any other ways I can help spread the word about Rachael's music, even if I'm not 100% sure I'm ready to sign up for the Street Team yet?

A: Absolutely! Here's a short list...

1. Host a house concert!

A house concert is basically a concert you produce in your home. This is a great way to introduce Rachael's music to new listeners; these shows are always so meaningful and fun, because her fans are intimately involved in presenting them! For more info on how to host a houseconcert and what it's all about, click HERE. Once you feel you've learned enough to really get involved, contact Rachael's BOOKING AGENCY with your vision for the event – as well as an estimated number of attendees – and we'll do our best to make it happen!

2. Check to make sure Rachael's CDs are stocked at your local record store!

This is a great way to help — and since we're a small label, there's no way we can collect this information as expertly as you can. Plus, if her albums are not in stock, you can always ask them to order at least one of them at the counter. This shows the store that Rachael not only has fans in the area, but that they are supporting her at retail, which adds to the local buzz and keeps our CD distributor very happy!

3. Request Rachael on the radio!

One of the very best ways to support Rachael is to request her music on your local radio station! For a comprehensive list of stations who have received her new CD "Chandelier" as well as her current single, "Mexico", please click HERE

Q: So, how do I sign up?

A: If you're interested in joining the Street Team, being a mensch and getting in on the mishugas, click here MAILING LIST, or send an email with your name / address / phone and any other relevant thoughts to sagestreetteam at aol dot com. Other questions related to this topic should be directed to our resident Street Team guru, Kimberly Oliver: mpresskim at aol dot com

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001

Where traditions are not so rare;
    Sea, country and works scent the air;
A multitude of monuments,
    Planted tubs and patterned pavements.

The longish pedestrian malls;
    The remnants of defensive walls;
Historic buildings are a gauge
    Of the respect for heritage.

Wheat, rape and pines in the fields;
    Estuaries guarded by shields;
Long sandy beaches and wide scenes;
    Romantic-ruin go-betweens.

Rivers in parts licked by trees,
    Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries,
And crossed by practical delights -
    Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.

Fine churches headed at Durham;
    Football kits ad infinitum;
Kept castles - one for study;
    Masonry behind masonry.

And, with moulding-works out that way,
It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Hey Rachael, I got Carol Stella name on Broda's photo in the first set......after coffee, I caught my mistake. Hopefully all of these are right from the Indie Grrls Fest last weekend. Thanks for contributing your music again....It was pleasant to hear your voice and music on the scenic mountain drive back home Sunday morning.....especially with Vertigo Playing as I was winding around tight mountain roads looking down 700 foot drop offs on the road with speed crazed superbikes blowing past me in a suicide death race. We call those "Donor Cycles" with Organ Donor's for riders locally.

(Hi: enjoyed my visit.)

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN

Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.

I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.

I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”

Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

hey there, Rachael Sage Street Team!

well, it has been a long and winding road, and an even longer time coming, but my debut CD, I Remember, is FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!

to celebrate, American HeartBeat Records(tm) has arranged a FREE DOWNLOAD of Now Is The Time in exchange for a valid email address. Now Is The Time is a brand new, upbeat song I wrote: we are living in turbulent times. suddenly it is okay to be greedy and heartless? no way! a song of hope for our future, a new vision of America and the world.

we have a bunch of exciting things planned to kick this whole thing off, and we need to get a better picture of who our friends are, so the FREE DOWNLOAD form will ask you a few questions, like, what is your country and nearest major city. it all takes maybe 15 seconds.

anyhoo, the FREE DOWNLOAD, and the FUN, begins at www.JAETCHISON.com

I look forward to getting to know you a little better, and I thank you SO VERY MUCH for your friendship and support!

please tell your friends about JAETCHISON.com, and ask them to sign up for the email list, too! FUN things are coming up!!

peace from Atlanta, Georgia, USA,

J.A. Etchison
