Müzik
I LOVE gospel music. I also like old-school R&B and Rap (the clean stuff). Believe it or not, I used to rap in high school! Dont' tell anybody.
Filmler
My favorites are Antoine Fisher and Forrest Gump. I also enjoyed Love and Basketball, The Godfather Trilogy, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Lady Sings the Blues, The Wiz, Sense and Sensibility, and Silence of the Lambs.
Televizyon
Dancing with the Stars is a family favorite. I always watch CNN - I'm a true news junkie! The Amazing Race - my husband and I would like to sign up one day. Roots - I bought the box set! It was powerful when I was growing up and I wanted my kids to see it.
Kitaplar
I LOVE biographies/autobiographies becasue people and their experiences are fascinating! Natalie Cole's ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER, Reginald Lewis' WHY SHOULD WHITE GUYS HAVE ALL THE FUN, and Josephine Baker's story are some of my favorites. I loved THE KITE RUNNER and A THOUSAND SPLENDID SONS by Khaled Hosseini. I also recently read BECOMING DAD by Leroy Pitts, Jr. and I think EVERY male in America should read it before becoming a father.
Kahramanları
My husband Don, my brothers Shawn and Scott, my mother Jacqueline, my grandmother Emma Martin, my great-grandfather Clyde Black, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, the apostle Paul, and many of the fathers in my book, DAUGHTERS OF MEN.

Kimle tanışmak isterim: Doesn't every author want to meet Oprah??? Actually, I visited the Oprah Show when I was a communications major in college. I was 19 years old and determined to say something when she asked for audience feedback (remember, this was her early show format in the late 80s). It turns out the show was about dealing with the challenges of infertility! I didn't have any experience with that!!
