I LOVE gospel music. I also like old-school R&B and Rap (the clean stuff). Believe it or not, I used to rap in high school! Dont' tell anybody.
Movies
My favorites are Antoine Fisher and Forrest Gump. I also enjoyed Love and Basketball, The Godfather Trilogy, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Lady Sings the Blues, The Wiz, Sense and Sensibility, and Silence of the Lambs.
Television
Dancing with the Stars is a family favorite. I always watch CNN - I'm a true news junkie! The Amazing Race - my husband and I would like to sign up one day. Roots - I bought the box set! It was powerful when I was growing up and I wanted my kids to see it.
Books
I LOVE biographies/autobiographies becasue people and their experiences are fascinating! Natalie Cole's ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER, Reginald Lewis' WHY SHOULD WHITE GUYS HAVE ALL THE FUN, and Josephine Baker's story are some of my favorites. I loved THE KITE RUNNER and A THOUSAND SPLENDID SONS by Khaled Hosseini. I also recently read BECOMING DAD by Leroy Pitts, Jr. and I think EVERY male in America should read it before becoming a father.
