Figlia di Janice e Danny Bilson
Attrice statunitense conosciuta soprattutto per il ruolo di Summer Roberts,nella famosa serie The O.C creata da Josh Schwartz per un totale di quattro stagioni, e i film Jumper, un film di fantascienza e The Last Kiss, remake statunitense de L'ultimo bacio.
Rach è diplomata alla Walter Reed Middle School (1996) e al Notre Dame High School (1999).Durante la permanenza al Notre Dame High School, Rachel ha partecipato alle produzioni teatrali di
Bye Bye Birdie,Once Upon a Mattress e The Crucible.
Nel 2003,Rachel iniziò a uscire con il coprotagonista di The O.C.,Adam Brody (Seth Cohen). La loro storia durata tre anni,terminò nel 2006 quando etrambi resero ufficiale la rottura del fidanzamento.
Da allora,l'attrice è legata a Hayden Christensen(suo coprotagonista in Jumper).
