Writing, movies, television, books, SF/F fandom in all its glory ... music, especially blues and blues rock.
Music
Blues, blues rock, electronic, dance, pop. Everything. ESPECIALLY JOE BONAMASSA. Hey, Joe, how you doin'? Good? COME BACK TO TEXAS! Oh, and also, Aynsley Lister? YOU ROCK, MAN.
Movies
Thrillers, suspense, science fiction, fantasy, action/adventure, mystery, noir, silent films!
Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott have a special warm place in my heart. Thanks, guys. More, please.
Television
Anything Joss Whedon does. Ever.
On British TV, MURPHY'S LAW. PRIMEVAL. TORCHWOOD. DOCTOR WHO. LIFE ON MARS. RED DWARF.
On American TV, NUMB3RS, NCIS, VERONICA MARS, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, PUSHING DAISIES, STARGATE: EVERYTHING, *dying* for Charlaine Harris's new SOUTHERN VAMPIRE MYSTERIES series on HBO!
And my new extra extra shiny favorite: THE LOST ROOM. If you haven't seen this, go rent the DVDs. You'll thank me later.
Books
Favorites include Judith Tarr's "Hound and the Falcon" series, George R.R. Martin's "Fevre Dream," pretty much anything by Barbara Hambly. Jim Butcher, P.N. Elrod, Charlaine Harris, Baroness Orczy, Roger Zelazny, Isaac Asimov, C.J. Cherryh, Justin Gustainis, Vicki Pettersson, Stephenie Meyer, and too many other awesome writers to mention.
Heroes
My friend Timothy Bartz, who survived against the odds for longer than any other Cystic Fibrosis patient at the time. My dad and mom, who sacrificed to give me a good education and a chance at my dreams.
And teachers and librarians nationwide, who do so much for so little reward ... YOU ARE AMAZING.

Can't wait to read Kiss of death! looking forward to more sample chapters :) also I was wondering if theirs anyway i could get the UK version of carpe corpus with the bonus short story without having to actually order it from the UK? I'm so upset I had to work on the 13th! I missed you! :,( I tried coming round the borders at 6..but the place was swamped, and I didn't have time to wait for people to break up. I had only 15 mins before I went back to work from break! I was so excited to see you and I'm so sad over it! :(
Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
