I grew up in Paradise Valley, AZ, and spent most of my childhood trying to figure out if I was a cheerleader/sorority girl or a music-theatre nerd... Although I was classically trained and focused on musical theatre for quite some time, I have chosen to venture into other genres of music including pop, jazz, and various contemporary styles. I am a singer/actress/dancer, BUT first and foremost I am a singer. Tralalalala... Oh, and I really like icecream, butterflies, glitter, and things that smell nice.
Rachel, My sister, my mini me! Vagina Dentata is the name of my new band. We chose it because we are a ridiculous glam band. We also chose it because we are anything but sexist and the term is being used in a satirical manner, alluding to a fear of the vagina, in this case because it is believed to have teeth. There is nothing dirty about this, only interesting. If you research the history of the term you will see that it has a very rich history throughout the world and is a theme in a great deal of art. If you have to delete this post because it says Vagina Dentata... I'm sorry.
