Rachel Owen has been described as a “cerebral hipster”, “the ultimate saloon singer” and the “Mae West of Rock N Roll”. She has been compared to Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, Jill Sobule, Lucinda Williams, Melissa Etheridge or whoever else makes that particular fan tingle. Her songs are creations that can only be described as her own.
Rachel's first foray into the studio was the 1998 release Steering With My Feet, a collection of quirky originals that earned her an underground following and invitations into living rooms, coffee houses and small venues all over America as a one-woman show.
Rachel has opened for such revered songwriters as Todd Snider, Loudon Wainwright III and Steve Forbert. She has also become a sought after studio vocalist and songwriter.
Her newest Triple A rock collection, BOMBSHELL, is the true essence of Rachel Owen--candid, edgy and brimming with humor while profound and beautifully presented. Co-produced with performing songwriter Gordon Vincent (gordonvincent.com), BOMBSHELL was released in September 2006 on Dr. Earl Music.

thank you!! no, he wont be there. dont know if we will even make it for sure. my lil guy is still in the hospital up in indy. he has some infection he got from his breathing tube that has affected his blood stream. we will probably be up here for atleast another month and maybe more. he has the Hay gene in him so he is a lil fighter.
Kathy, great to have a chance to sit down with you and listen to the 9 cuts I've completed mixing for Gordon Vincent's new CD. He and I both wish to thankyou for the amazing creativity and drive which you contributed to this project. The live basic tracks which you, John Vogt, and Gordon laid down over a year ago, formed the cornerstone for the best project I've ever had the honor of producing. Aside from that, I truly consider this cd, "Redemption", to be one of the most excisting recordings I have ever heard, and believe me, your incredible drumming and percussion are, unmistakably, a large part of the reason why I feel this way....Thankyouu as always....T.
