I grew up just outside of Boston alongside the most talented musicians I've ever known -- my parents. At age thirteen I picked up the guitar and started to play it serioulsy. It was during college, however, that my style really began to develop and when I started writing "legitimate" songs. I also began to play out a lot which allowed me to grow more comfortable performing for an audience. After I graduated I returned to my city and by chance met some seriously excellent musicians. We began playing little shows together and became known as "Rachel Praino and The Sway." It has been a blast up til this point and I can't wait to see what's next. I love what I do- I love writing, singing, and I love sharing it with others. My biggest dream is to do this for a living - and while I am taking steps to pursue this dream - in the meantime I am loving every moment of life - meeting new people, being inspired by each new day, and making amazing friends who teach me to see a little more of the everyday.
