Shortt Stories :
This 2006 release is short, sweet, and to the point. Shortt Stories is a collection of 6 raw and emotional recordings documented and released during the lil' indie rockers travels back and forth from native Cleveland, Ohio to Seattle, Washington.
I am a 27 year old singer/songwriter living, breathing, and creating from my home base in Cleveland Ohio. Nothing stops me from going wherever the music may take me. Some might call me a starving artist. If by that they mean I have a hunger to create and starve for art, than they are right. I live for art. I eat, sleep, and bleed music. I don't know how to live any other way...
It all started when I was all of five years old. My grandparents gave me a plastic Walt Disney acoustic guitar with 6 beautiful nylon strings. My biggest influences at the time were probably Elvis, John Lennon, and my uncle John Marshall. Since then my music knowledge has expanded and matured, and I have grown to love all forms of music. I began playing in basements, garages and school bands when I was nine, and by fourteen, I had recorded my first CD (Hopeful Thoughts) with the band (Cerebellum). Since then, I have been independently releasing CD's whenever I have had the time and resources.
For the last seven years, I have been independently traveling the U.S. meeting people, experiencing life first hand, playing my guitar, singing, and performing with amazing artists from all over the country. I believe the arts make up a true universal language, and I intend to keep performing and creating when and wherever I can to be a part of it...
