I am Raconteur Martin McCue born and raised in Glasgow Scotland in the UK. I have been producing Electronic music for around 5 years but dabbled before this. So why wot where when?? well to keep it short and sweet I grew up the youngest of 6 in my family listening to 70’s & 80’s music without much choice. Growing up in a rough area of Glasgow called the Gorbals I tried to keep my nose clean and with lino and ghetto blaster in hand I began breakdancing. Listening to music such as Depeche Mode, Heaven 17, Human League, Erasure and legends Kraftwerk to name but a few I came across the Electro Track Classic "Clear" which was like calling from heaven (Thanks Mr Atkins). Spending the rest of the 80’s listening to electro the infamous 303 screamed into my life and I started clubbing seeking the acid and Techno sound. I began P.R. work for the Sub Club in Glasgow and here I got the opportunity to meet many great DJ’s and Producers such as Derrick May, Mad Mike (UR), Adonis, and many more. But it was When I met the Godfather of Techno Juan Atkins I was truly inspired to produce my own music. "Its all about the Music" said Juan and he told me of life back in Detroit and how Music was really saving people as drugs was rife in Detroit & I could understand this growing up in a Heroin polluted area of Glasgow. So listen to my music with an open mind if it makes you think, Dance, Cry or generally just gets your groove on then I’m getting it right.
