MY CITY BURNING

Ever since their founding in 2006, MY CITY BURNING from Amsterdam has taken the European hardcore scene by storm. Even before releasing their first full-length, MCB’s healthy DIY ethic and furious live reputation didn't go unnoticed, landing them numerous high profile shows with well-established bands such as Machine Head, Hatebreed and Poison The Well.

Hardcore lovers from around the globe therefore had nothing but high expectations when, in the fall of 2010, MY CITY BURNING released their debut album “Lone Wolves” on legendary hardcore label I Scream Records, known for eponymous acts such as Agnostic Front, Madball, and Blood for Blood.

“Lone Wolves” quickly convinced friend and foe that MCB is a force to be reckoned with in the European Hardcore scene, with reviewers describing it as: “A great debut!” (Metal Hammer), "Very intense!” (Coolibri), and “A must have for hardcore lovers” (Rock Hard).

After this release the stakes quickly got higher and MCB hit the European highways day in and day out, playing shows with major acts such as Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front and H2O, landing midtable slots on some major festivals, and supporting Blood for Blood, Pro Pain and Earth crisis on mainland tours. Unfortunately, this proved not to come without sacrifice, as in the summer of 2011 MY CITY BURNING announced that bass-player Spit would be replaced by MCB's close friend and guitar-tech Robert, resulting in the first line-up change since their founding.

Now, five years down the road, MY CITY BURNING continues to give to audiences everywhere what they always have: an intense, and passionate live show with in-your-face music but also a positive atmosphere. A safe haven for any hardcore- or metal kid to just be themselves, to sweat out the anger but still leave with a smile.


47 MILLION DOLLAR$

Der Schmale Grat – Abseits von gängigen Klischees und Trends verfolgen Fortyseven Million Dollar$ ihre persönliche Vision von massiv nach vorne gehendem 90er-Jahre Hardcore à la S.O.I.A gepaart mit reichlich Metal-Riffs, Breakdowns, Singalongs und ausschließlich deutschem Gesang. Diese Stilelemente finden sich kombiniert in Songs wieder, die mit schneidenden zweistimmigen Gitarrenläufen und brutalen Moshparts beginnen, um von hymnenhaften Oldschool-Chören beendet zu werden. Diese Offenheit setzt sich auch in den deutschen Texten fort, womit sich 47 MILLION DOLLAR$ endgültig auf eine Gratwanderung durch die deutsche Hardcore-Szene begeben...


NOTHINGS LEFT

Derber Sound, solides Songwriting und wahrscheinlich live noch mehr Power als man vorher erahnen konnte. Für Hardcorefans, egal ob alt oder jung, und speziell für Oldschoolfans ist diese Truppe wärmstens zu empfehlen. (southwesthardcore.de)
Schon einige Zeit zählen die vier Darmstädter Jungs zu den heißesten Newcomern aus der Region und nach nunmehr über 80 gespielten Shows, unter anderem mit Bands wie Sick Of It All, Death Before Dishonor, Cruel Hand, Lionheart, Billy The Kid und Nasty, sowie einigen vielversprechenden Demotapes, durfte man 2011 den nächsten gehörigen Arschtritt der erfolgreichen Südhessen erwarten: Im Sommer erschien am 22.07.2011 ihre bereits langersehnte Debüt-EP sowie am 08.07. das erste Musikvideo. Derzeit arbeitet die Band an ihrem Debüt-Album.

We want a band that plays loud and hard every night. That doesn`t care how many people are counted at the door. That would travel one million miles and ask for nothing but a plate of food and a place to rest. They`d strike chords that cut like a knife. It would mean so much more than a t-shirt or ticket stub, they would stop at nothing short of a massacre. Everyone would leave with the memory that there was no place else in the world and this was where they always belonged. We would dance like no one was watching, with one fist in the air. Our arenas just basements and bookstores across an underground Germany. With this fire we could light. We want a scene where the music is free, where beer is not the life of the party. There`s no need to shit talk or impress cause honesty and emotion are not looked down upon. And every promise that`s made and bragged would be meant if not kept. We`d do it all because we have to not because we know why. Beyond a gender race and class we could find what really holds us back. Let`s make everybody sing that they are the beginning and ending of everything. That we all are stronger than everything they taught us that we should fear.
