The core in Radiants' music is the progressive expression and the strong melodies. Instead of slavishly following the guidelines of one specific genre they break boundaries between organic and electronic music. They blend hard beats and synth basses, 80s flavored melodies with guitars and strong vocals – making it both heavy and danceable.
Theresa Hagberg, (vocals and lyrics) has been breathing music since childhood. She grew up with disco music but as a young teenager a whole new world opened up when she discovered the 70s hard rock, singer & song writer music and 60s psychedelia. After that she had her second musical revelation and this time it was the industrial and old school EBM genres.
Her vocal style is the result of not wanting to be just another polished and adjusted female singer, but to really get her feelings out. As emotions aren't always laid back and adjusted, that reflects in her singing.
In her quest to find like minded people she found Lars.
Lars Blomstrand, (guitar, bass, keyboard and synthesizer programming) is the former member of the Swedish goth band “Nevskij Prospekt” and brings influences from a lot of genres into Radiants' music, as he's been into 70s rock, dark wave, industrial, old school EBM, modern electro etc. His deep interest in sound and vintage technology has led to a huge collection of music studio equipment and instruments. Radiants music is recorded and produced in his music studio.
The two hooked up with Magnus last year.
Magnus Gladén, (keyboard, percussion and synthesizer programming) is the former singer and composer in the electronic pop band “The Mourning After”. His interest in vintage synthesizers and studio equipment and his love of 80s electronic pop, puts his touch to Radiants' music.
The meeting with Magnus resulted in inspiration and also several new songs. These will be featured here on this my space site.......so stay tuned!!! :D
