Radical Feminist Waterbong Revolt is a new podcast dedicated to discussing feminism and a bunch of other isms. Influenced by Luce Irigaray, Mattilda a.k.a. Matt Bernstein, Mary Daly, Elizabeth Grosz, Derrida, bell hooks and a bunch of other rad theorists, the show seeks to reclaim womanhood and embrace difference--challenging binaries, while recognizing that binaries frame oppressions. Every episode has a different theme. The pilot episode is on masochism. We would love input, and any suggestions are highly appreciated. The podcast is run by Jaye and Linzey Infynity in Portland, OR. Jaye and Linzey Infynity are responding to the idea that feminists are frigid and need to lighten up. Jaye likes to blur boundaries...she digs trans-national feminism and post-modern theory. Linzey Infynity wants to combine ideologies from the 2nd wave and 3rd wave making a 2 1/2 wave where generations create a coalition embracing difference. They both do spoken word-esque performances in Portland, including SUCK MY OPEN MIC on Alberta Street. Feminism is not dead. Sexism hurts everyone.

Dear Portlinzjaye, I'm a new listener and wanted to let you know that I'm LOVING the show so far! I have a question for you though. I'm a bisexual woman living in NYC and I seem to have trouble picking up women. The second I say "bisexual" it's like the off switch is hit. Then they all make that same inevidable awkward exit, the one I thought was only saved for the times when you think a dude is actually a hot andro-dyke but find out you're VERY mistaken. What do you think I should do? And why do lesbians have such a problem with bi girls???
