Afterglow comes to you in two phases. Phase one (30 minutes) is an eclectic mix of a wide variety of music, usually including quite relaxing music. Phase Two (60 minutes) is the Progressive Rock portion of the show. Don't let the P-word scare you. It's just great Rock music with an emphasis on instrumental virtuosity and extra texture to the compositional elements. Prog started in the late '60s and got big in the '70s. Afterglow pays tribute to the "old masters" while concentrating on the latest crop of Prog practitioners.
Naturally, the Genesis song Afterglow is the theme used to start each program. I use not only the original Genesis studio version, but also covers by several bands. If I use your band's cover, you'll get a link to your website on the Afterglow website. Contact me for information on how to submit your music. Do NOT send attachements for they will be deleted and your address will be blocked. I can NOT use files. Please read the blog How to Get Airplay on Afterglow for the info you need to send music.
Attention Artists! If you have a song in your MySpace player, I have alternate playlists in my player. Let me know what song you'd like me to add to the playlist and I'll consider it.
If you live in or near the Lehigh Valley, do check out LVProg, the Lehigh Valley Progressive Rock discussion group at: http://is.gd/hrHK

In the Baroque style of classical music, such as Bach or Vivaldi, each instrument played a melody that intertwined with the others instead of simply supporting a singer or a lead instrument. Lead Singer Syndrome has taken this concept and incorporated it into different styles of music.
