About me:
www.kpfk.org.
Who I'd like to meet:
Brigada Popular is a Spanish alternative radio collective based in Los Angeles, California that has the goal to present topics of social consciousness that the corporate media aims to keep in the shadows. Our collective believes that is of extreme importance to give a voice to the organizing movements of social justice so the people are able to achieve a progressive social change. For this reason, we created this project that is here to spread the word and create consciousness about the different injustices happening around the globe and the actions being taken to end such injustices. The members of Brigada Popular have a long term experience producing community radio through the participation in the Spanish Programming collectives in Pacifica Radio Network's KPFK 90.7 FM in Los Angeles. We actually encourage the public to check out the Spanish programming at KPFK 90.7 FM Monday through Thursday from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm, or in the web at
www.kpfk.org.

The funds raised during this event will be sent directly to Atenco as they continue to struggle for the liberation of their prisoners and their land.
As we struggle for justice for our people on this side of the wall, we must also recognize and build solidarity with those fighting to keep and preserve land, life and culture in Mexico and beyond.
