Rob Jones - Vocals/Guitar
This arrogant and occasionally flamboyant front-man takes his musical inspiration from a wide and eclectic source of material. Jones listens to all genres (apart from dance music), although his main passions lie in two main areas, great songwriters, and rock bands. As is well known to all who are familiar with the Radio Edit front-man, he is a huge fan of Bob Dylan. He is a strong creative influence in the band, writing music and guitar riffs as well as all the lyrics and vocal melodies for Radio Edits songs. He is also a classically trained guitarist, as well as being tutored in rock guitar for several years. His onstage moves, gritty vocals and harmonica cameos are becoming somewhat of a gimmick for Radio Edit followers.
Chris Wyatt - Lead Guitar
Chris Wyatt could probably get a decent tune from a plant-pot given the chance. He is a gifted musician who plays not only professional-standard piano but also drums and the rock guitar heard with Radio Edit. He is a huge rock fan, and listens to all types of guitar based music, siting his main influences as some of the greatest guitarists in rock and roll history: Jimi Hendrix, Slash, Joe Satriani and Eric Clapton. He is also the bands other main creative force, writing guitar chord sequences and riffs along with Rob Jones for most of Radio Edits songs. His back to basics heavy rock and his flying guitar solos are his trademark, as well as his laid back persona and black leather jacket.
Dubs - Bass Guitar
Dubs bases his interests in heavier areas than the other members of the group, but shares common loves of band like Pink Floyd, Guns n Roses and ACDC. He is definitely the most improved member of Radio Edit, now focusing nearly all his attention on the bass guitar, his intricate runs of major and minor give the songs their distinguishable character, and if he keeps asking for that bass solo, he might just get one (not).
Alan Taylor - Drums
Appearing like a messiahnic vision at the door to the infamous basement, Alan took up the sticks for Radio Edit in the Spring of 2007, following the trans-atlantic emmigration of long-standing and widely respected drummer Michael Kenny. Adding colour to many of the Edit's newest tracks, earmarked for the upcoming Edge of the Road album, Alan's heart-palpatating bass-drum work, combined with his percussive ingenuity, lightning hands and sold sense of rhythm have taken Radio Edit to an all new higher level of rock and roll.

When there's stones to throw, somebody's gonna get stoned...
Radio Edit, rising like a storm-eyed Phoenix from the northern music scene, are a band that combine poetic lyrics and scorched vocal lines from the very back of the throat with dirty guitar riffs, powerful sing-along choruses and blues-fuelled rock ‘n’ roll while the sounds of the Stones, Dylan and Hendrix echo off their amplifiers.
Since their birth in the summer of 2005 the band have developed a massive following in the Greater Manchester region, with crowds over 100-strong regularly attending concerts which have ranged from desolate pubs in Hindley to the cream of Manchester’s underground circuit.
Sapphire Woman
Boasting an impressive repertoire of around 20 original songs, (the first 14 are found on their self-produced debut album, entitled “Tales from 6th Avenue”) the band write songs faster than their followers can learn the words, but are also capable of an extensive covers set ranging from Hendrix to the Foo Fighters back to Van Morrison and David Bowie.
The band’s achievements to date include:
Finalists in Key 103’s “Support Bon Jovi” Competition
Finalists of XFM’s Rock School Competition
Supporting EMI artist XuefeiYang in the English leg of her world tour
Raising over £300 pounds in a sold-out fund-raising concert in aid of the Bolton School Guitar Orchestra’s tour to New York (self-promoted), and a further £200 in a 20 minute improvised acoustic set during a local musical production.
Selling over 200 copies of the self-produced debut album “Tales from 6th Avenue”
Airplay at the Reebok Stadium and Anfield during Barclay’s Premiership Fixtures

“So don’t put down this old town
Until you’re sure you’re heading for the new
When the fires are howling and the dogs are prowling
Trailblazers dying, resurrecting and defying
And you’re seeing things from a different point of view
Find yourself on 6th Avenue.”
Here's a little sneak peek as to what goes on down in Rob's Cellar, where all the magic happens... 3-piece improv inspired by the excellent Pink Floyd;
Ah cool what uni you going to n what course you doing? Yeah I suppose you'll have chances to form new bands at uni. I'm going way down south to Norwich studing computer games art design, it's like desiging characters, levels n stuff as well as modelling them on computers, but moslty art based as well hopefully i'll like it i've never tried anything like it before. But I love gaming and love art so I probably will lol

I'd get bored of it so quickly I'd want something else, i'd end up covered in em haha i'd want to design one of my own though, i always paint them n wash them off
Whats your plans now then? Getting stuck in with the band or going to uni/ working?
It's a matte black yamaha, not exactly snazy but i love it none the less, have had it since i started playing 4 years ago. Only got "serious" for about a year cause i've got into music a lot more now but still got a fair way to go before i'm classed as good lol xx
Aah yeah I know where you mean, I always nearly bump into people when I walk past stefs cause i look in the window lol the only tatoo I ever had came free in a crisp packet and came off after a day.
Was my last day on friday and am supposed to be "revising", i've even resorted to going running to avoid it lol did you go to college?
Don't even get me started on what I'll spend my money on, i'll probably put a grand of it away just so I can't spend it on crap. I kinda want a new guitar but there's nothing wrong with my old one, I'm not too much into buying big names cause no one's ever gonna hear me anyway Xx
Aw shame, Belmont School rocked! Ah where abouts in Bolton is it? Yeah I've worked non-stop for the past 2 years so think it's time for a nice long summer spending all my savings on rubbish haha.
