Generalcomedy as cheap as i feel, ucb, bbc, ast; art!; myspacefriends; plus some even dorkier stuff, if you can believe it. (of course, i'm far too old & wise, and old, to care about such distinctions.)

Music
~ a musical note (re. the handle): i used to love something called "radio" - especially '80s college radio, which influenced both the music i came to like and the comedy i came to love. ~

Movies (pre-s: since it's pretty hard to avoid in dc, "POLITICS" does interest/bore/enrage/exhaust me ... but let's not anyway.) ************************************************ now. although i store most of me offline? even i don't mind the occasional "online performance of self via a social networking profile's taste statement," knowmsayin? to wit, i LOVE (ahem): my best pal, our fur-nagerie, our niecephews, prosimians & other nhp's, sleep, not needing sleep; al-maghrib, andalucia, catalunya, galiza, euskadi, the pyrenees, andorra, languedoc, norte - ok, most of iberia & the western med - and heck, most of the coastal areas on both sides of the north atlantic, while i'm at it, plus various shady, isolated caribbean backwaters & other earliest north/american colonial places, borderlands, celtic highlands & islands, the hoary heath & heathen moors, megaliths, and londons past & present; crispy-cool autumns, neon-gray springs, shadows & fog, overcast days, the water, blue moonlight, dark skies, night; human flesh ONLY (aah, nobody reads this far anyway), verrry darrrk chocolate, black coffee, bubbly drinks; of course anthropology (primatology, paleoanthro., ethnology, pre/historical archaeology, ling., etc.), epidemiology, virology, ethology, all areas of cognitive science - inc. marketing; the absurd; ghost stories, slipstream, post/colonial lit., historical/fiction, comics & graphic novels (bloom county, love & rockets, sandman, mnftiu, fun home); dickenson, l'engle, o'connor, other odd ladies; music, above; noir, pre-code, screwball, docs, bunuel, resnais, almodovar, jarmusch, gondry; 70s-80s sitcoms, the wire, 30 rock, FotC, arrested development, all 'the state' folks' stuff; & the rest of our media library, which i don't so much love? as friggin live in.
Televisionooh! i also love all kindsa visual ART, eg: **remedios varo**, guerra civil and wwii propaganda posters, manga & anime, old cartoons, garth williams, odilon redon, el bosco, goya, maps, edward gorey, ogdred weary, breugel the elder, jim woodring, de chirico, moorish architecture, dali, graphic design, kay sage, dave mckean, alison bechdel, john white, berke breathed, the delft school, colonial pottery, camille rose garcia, nina paley, andrew krieger, bansky, tribalbot, tina modotti, visionary, los bros hernandez, romare bearden, erte, dada, juxtapoz, emily carr, margaret bourke-white, pinhole & toy camera pix, art nouveau, silver jewelry, b&w, eastlake, mission, craftsman bungalows, bottles, tiles, gaudi, seaglass, macro textures, viruses & biologicals, pop/surrealism, flickr, etsy, francis bacon, architectural details, amigurumi & other kawaii crafts.
Booksmy HEROES are all the selfless souls who work so hard (for so little) to protect, rescue, heal, and/or avenge the critters of the world! speaking of, i've gotten to work for and travel with saint goodall, which was really quite something. (game dame. digs her some single malt.) btw, my other a/vocations include, in order of diminishing satisfaction: arter, writist, crank without portfolio (ie, misanthropologist), anthropologist, archaeologist (rather unlike indiana jones - except for the machete, snakes, & hat), closed captioner (so soothing!), on-air for college & internet radio, book & journal editor, pub tv drone, mortal.
Heroesfinally, a big ol' THANKS to all the funnyfolk who've kept me laughing - especially over these past 7-8 years, ferfuxake.

About me:

carrie fisher once said, "if my life wasn't funny, it would just be true." and this from princess leia! welp, i just so happen to admire those who can transform life's ordinary traumas & tragedies into ART in any of its forms. (and especially? COMEDY in its many forms.)

thus, i'm using this profile to aggregate the funny & the arty (mostly, plus a few favorite-cause & music types) into my own, personal hub. and for whatever reason? comedy & art seem to converge on the design abomination that is messpace. (ooh, maybe murdoch has the goods on 'em!) ~(o_O)~

Who I'd like to meet:

... would be a file containing my entire genome, along with a full explanation thereof, so i could finally learn wtf. wait - unless that's really a way for a tornado to sneak up on me in file form? hmm ... let us, instead, prostrate ourselves unto the Almighty Funnel Cloud and beseech It to spare us the smiting we all so verily deserve, for one reason or another, let's face it. ~(-_O)~ (hoo-ee, ain't weather the coolest? especially cool weather!)

and now for a reading from the book of noaa (more or less):

"Happy
happy birthday in a hot bath
To those nice
nice nights.
I remember always
always I got such a fright.
Seeing them in my
dark cupboard with
my great big cake.
If they were me
if they were me
And I was you and I was you -
If they were me and I was you
Would you have liked
a present too.

DID they laugh? I haven't actually seen it, just heard about it in fair detail. I am curious to actually see it. If there was any laughter it came from the comics standing near-by watching: guys I knew.

A victim of the company is now a victim of Myspace... Or at least their technical errors that tried my patience of the past break.

Since I can no longer amusing weblogs post here, and since I hardly friend anyway, I am at my retirement "space" weblog, and will probably not order any changes to my "space" for the foreseeable future... probably, that will be as long as Myspace continues to ignore fixing the problems that have recently plagued them, if not more!

Thank you for your audience here while it lasted... and I hope you get some benefit from the mild Weblog. If you have, you will be happy to know that I will someday soon a transtion to a non-myspace Weblog server, where the language and the fact manipulation antics of Mr. Health will continue.

Until then...
Graham

Greetings -

Nobody really has. I'm not in a band anymore so when I get to play it is usually me, alone in my apt. I need to work on that.

So how are things?
