MoviesPump Up the Volume (1990) a dramedy written and directed by Allan Moyle and starring Christian Slater (Mark Hunter) a high school student that starts a pirate radio station which broadcasts from his bedroom in the basement of his parent's house. Mark is a loner, an outsider, whose only outlet for his teenage angst and aggression is his radio station. (His pirate station's theme song is "Everybody Knows" by Leonard Cohen). By day, Mark is seen as a loner, hardly talking to anyone around him, by night, he expresses his outsider views about what is wrong with American society. When he speaks his mind about what is going on at his school and in the community, more and more of his fellow students tune in to hear his show. Nobody knows the true identity of "Hard Harry" or "Happy Harry Hard On", as Mark refers to himself, until Nora Diniro (Mathis) tracks him down. Eventually, the radio show causes so much trouble in the community that the authorities are called in to investigate.
TelevisionEmmerdale a British television soap opera set in the fictional Yorkshire village of the same name. Much of the action takes place within the village pub, The Woolpack. The show was created by Kevin Laffan in 1972. It is now the third-highest ranking soap opera on British television, behind the ITV's Coronation Street and the BBC's EastEnders.
BooksAll Crew Muss Big Up (1999) by Brian Belle-Fortune a ten year journey through Drum & Bass culture and features interviews with the music's top artists. However, it also delves deeper and looks at the pirate radio stations, labels, crews, promoters and ravers that form the backbone of the scene. As well as evoking the passion and energy of the music, the book is strong on the politics of Jungle and the way it has interacted with racial issues over the years.
HeroesDream FM (Leeds) a hugely successful station that championed Dance music of all genres and paved the way for Galaxy. Kool FM (London) the longest running Jungle Drum & Bass radio station with over a decade at the top of its game helping to support and perpetuate the scene, and inform ravers, for 15 years now.

Every Saturday night from 21.00, Radio Frequency 88.1fm brings you the infamous "Future Sessions" presented by yours truly.

Over the last year or so, with each week that's passed "Future Sessions" has been going from strength to strength and is now (according to some) the only way to spend a Saturday evening. The show itself is wholly based around the art of unpredictability and as such, it's very difficult for me to explain exactly what it is you should expect when tuning in. Fact is, every time you lock on to the show, you're likely to be hearing something completely different to what you heard previously. I absolutely refuse to be tied down to one genre of drum and bass, and this means i tend to move around a lot. For me it's all about been able to slide seamlessly through styles and i've spent a very long time accumulating a selection of music diverse enough to make this work.

"Future Sessions" is a show specifically designed for the Junglists, the Liquid lovers, the intelligent massive, the dance-floor crew, the Darkside soldiers and even the jump-up headz!! It makes a point of catering for all styles of Drum and Bass so that no-one's left out. Afterall, it's all about the music!!!

On top of this, i like the show to be as interactive as possible. Simply because it's the listeners that make it all worthwhile. It's all about getting those texts in for a shout-out, request, or anything you might want to say. I try and make sure the listeners are as much a part of the show as the music and the presenter. To me, they're all equally important. It's nice to know that people want to be a part of what Radio Frequency is doing, cos it's fucking big, and quite frankly, people should want to play their part in it and get involved.

Anyway, this is all just words, which don't mean very much. I'm all about the experience. Come join me sometime and make up your own mind about the

I just wanted to give a little something back to everybody who's shown me love this year and provided support for what i do. I've therefore posted a Happy New Year mix below for everybody. As usual, i've tried to keep it both varied and interesting, aswell as a little unpredictable (as i do). Feel free to download it and listen at your leisure. Also, i'd appreciate any feedback anyone who listens to it may have. Positive, or otherwise. I'm always interested to know what people think, so do let me know.

1st and foremost, i wanna send a big Happy New Year to everybody on 'Myspace.' I hope you all had a wicked night on New Years Eve night whatever you may have done.

As many of you are probably aware, 2007 was quite a big year for me. This is largely thanks to me being given the opportunity of having a show on the 'mighty' Radio frequency 88.1fm and thus being able to share my sound with a much wider audience. I'm incredibly thankful for this!! I've met so many like minded, dedicated people on the journey this year and it's been a huge boost for me.

Taking all this into consideration, i just wanted to give a little something back to everybody who's shown me love this year and provided support for what i do.
