The short list: The New Pornographers, Gossip, Yo La Tengo, the Roots, Sleater-Kinney, the Pixies, the Ramones, Talib Kweli, Metric, Be Your Own Pet, the Dirtbombs, that one Silver Jews album, GBV, the Buzzcocks, and this clip of Stevie Wonder rocking the house on Sesame Street. | | Movies | When I was nine, my favorite movies were Ghostbusters and The Empire Strikes Back. And as many indie-snob movies as I could list in this space, I still love those two. | | Television | 30 Rock.
