Hi,
Just wanted to let you and your friends know that our latest album The Noble Pauper's Grave has been released and is now available for download through iTunes, SoundClick and CD Baby. The CD release will be available in a couple of weeks (it can be pre-ordered from our web-site).
I'm just gathering material for the August New Horizons Music on-line newsletter. If you have any progressive rock news that you'd like to publicise, feel free to drop me a message. If published, a link for your MySpace page will be included.
New Horizons Music is Rory Ridley-Duff’s music publisher and we’re writing to you as a ‘friend’ of his. We're developing our newsletter so that it becomes more of a mouthpiece for progressive rock musicians. Give us your news (max 255 characters) and we'll publish as much as possible in future editions. This month, we trial a "Quick News" section so that prog rockers around the world can give out quick news about their activities.
We'll keep writing provocative articles. This month's article ("Now For Something Completely Different....") discusses the dynamics between musicians/music reviewers and music fans. What can you expect when you send your music out for a review? What can you expect when you participate in forums run by fans and musicians?
We will keep carrying at least one interview with a musician per edition. This month the talented US guitarist Rob Fowler of Digital Chemistry talks about work on his debut album, Machine Made Man.
Just catching up with my friends and checking out their pages in more detail. Love the new look at RadioIndy and hope you can attract more listeners in the near future (just deserts for your efforts).
Just posted some progressive/rock chat and news in the latest NHM newsletter, including an interesting article titled "Does Music Advertising Work?". There's also an interview with UK progressive metal band Stone Cold.
Just knowing there is a truly professional Internet station such as RadioIndy online, gives all artists
and groups incentive to keep their chops up! Kudos for a job well done.
