................................................................................................................................
There is no use in trying to hide that the wearies and controversies have been many and hard during the recordings of the new album TRIVIAL MATTERS, but the bands joint love for decadent 80..s pop, continental house, French disco and old brutal synth made TRIVIAL MATTERS the band’s of yet most unified, and still most dramatic and innovative record.
On the debut album the sound was greatly influenced by French cinematographic 60..s music (example: IT..S CRUEL UP NORTH and MALE MYSTIQUE). The sound has taken a new direction and three members (among them Lisa) left the group in 2006. The band is now following with a record that has been marinated in continental club-music and 80..s pop. You can hear the electro groove from Club Rex in Paris under the guitar riffs that smell of Echo and the Bunnymen.
The record label legend Mike Alway, the patron saint of the debut album “Radio LXMBRG”, has long been a fan. After TRIVIAL MATTERS had been mixed, the French producer BERTRAND BURGALAT blessed the glass-master during a ceremony in his home in the northwest of Paris. Burgalat is a friend of the band and has long been one of their premier promoters.
He is also the one who has been honored with the title of patron saint for TRIVIAL MATTERS.
