Hmm .. hard to say with each of the band members coming from quite different musical backgrounds, ranging from punk, folk, rock, jazz and classical .. makes for a distinctive mix.
RadioMary are based in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire ... the band has a folk-edged, foot-tapping sound, strongly led by Kev's very individual song-writing skills and backed by a band with a variety of influences ....
Many of you will remember Kev from the heady days of Yeah Jazz fame in London... when punk was King and it was cool to spit... and you needed a knife just to cut your way through the smoky atmosphere to see the band!!!!
The current 4-piece line up of RadioMary has been live and kicking for a couple of years and has been out and about gigging locally at clubs and pubs and parties and sessions (in fact, almost anywhere at the drop of a hat!!) and also enjoyed playing live in the studio on Radio Shropshire's Genevieve Tudor show in 2007, Oxjam 2007 and Belper Festival 2008 plus LOADS of charity stuff, we just love it!
A 5 track demo CD is now available ..... let us know if you like what you've heard of us on MySpace, and if you'd like to hear some more :-) Kev is churning out new material all the time and it just gets better and better and better .... !!!
