Influences
It is the union of music and animated picture that fascinated the Fevered Brain from the Beginning: First it was Disney, then it was The Jackson 5 (one of those great Rankin Bass cartoons), Josie and the Pussycats, the Monkees (hey, they were practically cartoon characters), and Sinead O'Connor has openly admitted that she was a Fan of the PreFabs. and more Disney yet again.
It seems Disney has always been there to shape the Twisted sensibilities of the Fevered Brain. Antifolk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Classical, Country, and the varieties of Power Pop, Rock, and World Music have all played a roll in shaping what has become the Fevered Brain. RadioMike has pretty much been influenced by Everything and when you listen to the Music, it really shows.

RadioMike is a Musical Sponge, a consultant for many local bands, and a former publicist for Father Murphy, Joie/Dead Blonde Girlfriend, and Peter Dizozza. During the RadioMike show, he works to expose many great local acts from all over the world to his international audience, and they love him for it.
RadioMike's meanderings into Radio began life over seven years ago, concentrating mostly on New York's East Village and the Antifolk scene in particular. However, the musicians of the world soon expanded that by sending him music from all genres all over the world to help him meet his mission: playing anything and everything as long as it was good, original, and melodic enough to mix with anything and everything that he had in his collection and his fevered brain.
Today, RadioMike's show stretches from all of the varieties of Indie and Unsigned, Antifolk, and everything and anything in between.

Thank you very much, Mike. I had a good (however rainy) birthday. Rik called me yesterday from San Diego and told me I would probably like it down there. I hope one day I'll be able to take his word for it. Not much happening on the work front, as is the problem with a lot of people. Although being in New York certainly doesn't help.
I wish I were 25 again. There's certainly a lot of things that I would do differently. Besides which, in this society AKA the Fashion Industrial Complex, after 25 you're good as dead. I hope for my sake that they're wrong.

The Rag Blog and South Austin Pictures present a screening of "God Thinks You're a Loser," a perverse comedy from Austin director Gary Chason, at The Independent in the 501 Studio Complex, 8 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2009, 501 E. 5th at I-35 in Austin, Texas (entrance on Brushy Street, one block east of I-35).
A donation of $10 is suggested, with proceeds benefiting The Rag Blog, a progressive internet news magazine based in Austin. There will be a cash bar.
According to Chason, "God Thinks You're a Loser" is "a zany comedy about strippers and oil men" with "plenty of kinky sex, drugs, and the reckless pursuit of sensual pleasure." But in the end, those who hurt others must answer for their actions.
Much of the film takes place in Hell.
A live discussion with director Gary Chason and star Sue Rock will follow the screening.
So am I really leaving for Florida?? I am planning a visit first.. look for a job while I am there... but I do plan on moving there... Orlando Florida..
When I was told it may take up to 8 to 10 weeks or longer.... to make a decision if I get to draw or not... I was very surprised... this is not right!!!! But I think it is more PetSmart not wanting me to draw than the ESC dragging their feet... or maybe it is both... ( Also PetSmart had me working at the wrong location... and I could not change it..so I sent the ESC an email telling them that..) It is a BIG headache.... But I know things will work out.. sooner than later.. but I am hoping sooner...
It is good to be optimistic.. =) I try to... but sometimes it doesn't always work... lol but I do try =) Dating is hard... and no I am not dating anyone either..
Other than that.. I am doing good... I am getting a nice tan... looking for a job... wishing I could win the lottery... lol =) So how are you doing?
I am still in NC .... I am doing ok.. but I do have a current problem.. it is my unemployment ... ( So far 3 weeks with out a paycheck... Because PetSmart has issues and I still haven't had my hearing )... but other than that.. I am doing fine. But I do want to move to Florida... but I have to wait until I can get the money..
