I've learned my lesson! In 1979 God told me in a dream that I was to ONLY marry a good Christian East-African young lady and TWICE out of stupid impatience I went against God on that, (being the young fool that I was). and the consequences were worse than Yonah's 3 nights in the belly of the fish! Movies
I mostly prefer godly movies! But I do also enjoy a good sci-fi flick when it doesn't blatantly offend my faith. I do encourage people to boycott all works of known cult members. Latest on my list is Will & Jada Smith & family. But there are many others I boycott who are in that and other cults. I just do NOT to help finance their donations that will result in people being deceived into following false teachings all the way to hell. How skilled a performer the person may be is totally irrelevant! It is a matter of conscience. If you are pushing a false religion that rejects the Trinity, don't expect any money from me to be in your pocket when they pass the plate your way! If you want to go to hell and drag others there with you, you won't be doing it on my dime!

The Bible* in the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, in Ge'ez, in Amhariña or in most English translations,(Never the NWT or the RSV which are 2 of the worst translations ever).
*Including the the Apocrypha (which is not scripture but is invaluable historical records and early poetic, wisdom and commentary and which should always include the Kebre Negast) but not the pseudopygrapha which is a lot of Johnny-come-lately junk and often is very unscriptiural and even heretical.
Also: Any books by Marjorie Holmes (pen name of the late Lynn Mighell). Her books gained her a very wide audience.
