painting, collage, reading, writing, radio, activism, radio-activism, internet activism, self-employment, swimming, walking, hiking, music, lying in the sun doing nothing, biking, rollerblading, cooking, gardening, naps, working out, meeting new people, being anywhere under the sky with feet on the planet, and sometimes under water... love my nieces, time with my family: yelling at the tv and radio, laughing and dancing with my sister and her kids and my brother and his kids... looking out at the world and living with gratitude and celebration, in spite of the vagaries of existence and the exit always on the horizon... why is the sky blue? how did i get here? what are you laughing at? what is time? will i run out of space in this message before i can ask and answer all these questions?
Music
Love it all... I have a bizarre and all-over-the-board taste in music. Come from a cross-cultural family background. Parents very different from one another. Father was Sicilian immigrant and mom is Polish--in their day, and in their families, that was a big deal. He was 18 yrs older than her, so there was a huge variety of music [and food!!] in my family all the time, because there was also the music of mine and my sibs generation... Love it ALL! Soundtracks from films, and music from artists once-from-bands-gone-solo, and music that is cross-genre --all these are often what pique my interest. I'm ESPECIALLY interested in Independent Artists!!!
IF YOU ARE A BAND / MUSICAL ARTIST, PLEASE NOTE: I am happy to add you ESPECIALLY If you will send me a note giving me permission to use your work in my online broadcasts / podcasts / audio art. Please LET ME KNOW!!!
Thank you!!

Books
Love to read, and my library is always bursting at the seams. Always many books I am reading at once, and never enough time.....
Heroes
those who pay attention... those who know and/or learn how to live in the world and share what they learn, and give back to the world... sophie scholl, bunnista and kranti from minimum security cartoon, sister karen klimczak, arundhati roy, mavis staples, frances moore lappe, congressional representative maxine waters, rosie o'donell, william sloan coffin, phillip berrigan, bill maher, amy goodman, al franken, martin luther king, diane diprima, starhawk, randi rhodes, cindy sheehan, michael moore, derrick jensen, keith olberman, spike lee, ted rall, greg palast, aaron mcgruder, michael franti, the dixie chicks, rachel carson, billy bragg, tom morello, edward abbey, stephanie mcmillan, lois gibbs, erin brokovich, my mother, my sister, my brother, my father, my nieces, and just about everyone i meet...INCLUDING ALL NON-HUMANS, ALL OF WHOM ARE VICTIMIZED BY THIS CULTURE OF "INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION" i.e.DESTRUCTION OF THE PLANET; ALL OF WHOM HEROICALLY STRUGGLE FOR SURVIVAL...
About me: I love life. I love the sky, water, sun, earth, and I love to breath. I love my family. I love all living beings -- human and non-human.
That's the good part.
Here's the bad part: I live in a culture where these things, places, people, and non-humans are being killed all the time and -progressively moreso- by governments which embrace the "rights" of corporations instead of enforcing and protecting the needs of communities to live in harmony with one another and with the earth; a time when the carrying capacity of the planet is FAR exceeded with over 6 billion people over-consuming; a time when the chief energy source (oil) on which this culture of over-consumption depends is peaking in its availability; a time of rising totalitarianism; a time when every living creature on the planet is being threatened with "extinction", again, because of this culture of economics based on consuming...
...WHICH is also a time when we are seeing the planet communicate to us from every biosphere that these conditions are not tenable, and hence we have global warming / climate change. (That's a good part--That the earth is communicating to us...)
Here's the other good part: I use my experience in these times, on this planet, in this kleptocratic nation in which I live, and -- with my writing, visual art, radio and audio work, and activism -- I translate my experiences into something better; something which communicates what I love, and what I hate, and what must be changed and how---By sharing how others live by helping to tell their stories.
I use my art to change the world--It's my tool, my weapon, my language, my life I give back to the planet responsible for my life. I intend for my life to make it possible for the world to be a better place 100-150 yrs from now, and well-beyond that. Who I'd like to meet: Interesting people (--there's no other kind of people!) who want to get to know me even if I am so busy it takes a long time ( --I am, and it will....). Georgia O'Keefe (artist) said, "To see takes time, like to have a friend takes time."
It's been a while since I've had a chance to write a bit o' poetry to post for our friends to peruse. Now that summer is here, It's time to get back to it. Enjoy!

Glad to be friends here. And hey!... we have some excellent friends in common. But of course we would! I'm so glad you & Georg ( Inside Bilderberg) are friends, too! Now that's my kind of worldview, alright! Getting to the root of who REALLY runs things around here, so we can ( in their case, since they are a bunch 'a power-hungry crooks...) TAKE 'EM DOWN! There's the streamlined path to solution! Starting with getting HR 1207 passed to AUDIT The Fed!
