Improving the radio station one track at a time is our goal. Encouraging those who like their music served with various but compelling sauces to drop by, and give us a listen.

Books
What I've read of Arthur Rimbaud, Charles Baudelaire, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Karl Popper, F.A. Hayek, Friedrich Nietzsche, Complete Works of Abraham Lincoln, William Blake, Henry Miller, Anais Nin, Blaise Cendrars, Jack London's Martin Eden, T. Harry William's biography of Huey P. Long, Man Ray's autobiography, the Larry Rivers autobiography, Thomas Pynchon's V and Lot 49, the works of Tom Paine, William Gaddis' The Recognitions, William Gass literary critic, David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest, Douglas Coupland's soft works, Jack Kerouac, WS Burroughs, Camille Paglia, TS Eliot, Ginsberg, Celine, Susan Sontag, Charles Bukowski, and yes, I confess that I consider that fitful wad of grossly misappropriated parchment, the Bible, as an important read unless it comes attached to a host of semi-illiterate bible breeches, and in that case, the spirit has spoken, hear it and sulk away, unless of course, you crave THUUUUNDER...
Heroes
I originally listed a few heroes, but you know, I don't really believe in heroes, just individual acts of integrity. Say what you mean, and mean what you say, and honestly, the hero will prevail in each of us. Now how's that for sappy hero worship...
About me: RADIO SCENEWASH has been rockin' against global chaos since July 2, 2003. That's a lot of music. Crank up the radio station, broadcasting 24-7-365 (in cahoots with Live365) to listeners from all over the planet. Over 650 riffs in continuous play with generous rotation quotas every week. That's over 40 hours of no-repeat, choice listening. Visceral punk, facetious rock, splattered word, industrial, goth, electronica, lovely melodies, anthems, ballads, and shades of other raw underbelly stuff you wouldn't want the goon squads of whatever stripe to know you crave.
RADIO SCENEWASH spans the rock spectrum. If you like your radio to punch out the same tiring sound song after song, avoid the SWORG. Boasting some 9300 plus tracks, and counting in our archives, we mix the edgiest hardcore straight through to spoken word material drawn from the 1920s forward, digging at the very roots of it all, so don't be surprised.
The bulk of airplay, however, is devoted to 1980s proto punk and its siblings, where melody and beat meets lyric, history meets timelessness, and new classics crystallize with every juxtaposition. Mixing it up to mimic the thrash and bromide of the REAL WORLD in conflict and resolve, thus mirroring the stoneground soundtrack stomping through the blood-washed stalls of my own bittersweet head.
The battleground of religious, political, and social angst is on parade. War is in our midst. Confront the noise.
Who I'd like to meet: Any choice character who knows what's happening just a split second before it does, and survives the defects of such a philosophy.
And of course, any band who thinks they'll fit into the rotation here at RADIO SCENEWASH. Again, no promises. We spin what we like. We like a lot, but we don't like everything.
