hello fantastic radio fans,....
i started "radio timperley" in my garden shed in 1985,... and to start with it had over 160 link-up broadcasts with manchester's 'piccadilly radio 261'.... *** special link-ups were also done with bbc radio 1 *** and on it's travels going all round the world (and probably other places too) it has been heard on - signal radio, bbc radio 2, radio clyde, radio tees, manx radio, bbc radio manchester, tameside radio, bbc radio 5, key 103, bbc radio london ....... and crumpsall hospital radio (to name but eleven!) ********* i then went on to produce over 120 episodes of "frank's world", "clam down"and "frank sidebottom's story of pop" !.,.. aswell as writing material for other disc jokey's like 'fat larry white', and the radio 1 breakfast show.******** and my semi-proffessional show-biz-ness radiophonic skills have gone towards helping the careers of such disc jockie men and women as ---------- chris evens, mark radcliffe, steve penk, martin kelner, james h. reeve, geoff lloyd, iain lee, suzi mathis, james stanage, ugly ray teret, happy accident, brice cook, andy craine, mark alston, timmy mallet, rebecca want, mark riley, pete mitchell, andy wright, colin cook, nicksy, james whale, richard skinner, steve hookvale, pete baker, curley shirley, umberto, richard lee, phil booth, mike read, don stugots, alex boardman, jonathan ross, the late great tim grundy, and a load of others ( to name but thirty seven !) ***** highlights include - a live broadcast from stand f at wembley during the 1985 f.a. cup final into bbc radio 1's richard skinner show,....writing jonathan ross's questions for gerry anderson on the bbc world service,... giving chris evans his first 4 three hours shows on piccadilly radio entitled "how to be a disc jockey" (and didn't i teach him good!) ,... getting steve coughan to do the voice of 'james bond' on my bbc radio 5 pilot "helecopter doctor" (it never went out!) ,.....and also giving mrs. merton (who was then my next door nebiour) her radio break, when i asked her to stand in for me on my "radio timperley" show when i had the measles !!! (.... and where are they all now !!!) *********************** ************************************************************************
there have been many impersonaters and imitaters.... but there is only 'one' "radio timperley"

Hello Frank thanks for the video of your super-group it was absolutely brilliant, do you think Emma Bunton would come and play sousaphone for us when our chap is on holiday? perhaps you could ask her or one of your other showbiz friends, we already tried asking Paul McCartney but got no reply, he was probably in the bath or something.
Greetings from Ramsbottom......just mopped up the urine after watching your clip with Emman Bun Tin and the Rourkster.....keep em coming and mines and black pudding. Hale in Sale and Balti in Alty.........radio timps is not for wimps........!!
After 20 years in show business I, LUDICROUS release yet another new single "WE'RE THE SUPPORT BAND" worldwide. "WE'RE THE SUPPORT BAND" is available for download on I TUNES & all major on line music stores. You can watch the video on the I, LUDICROUS myspace site.....Thanks.
What on earth happened to Little Frank's old body and why does he need a new one! No scary answers please!
I'll be mostly mixing songs about giraffe's and Motorbikes this evening.
Great to hear from you, have been a big fan since the NME's Beatles covers tape in the 80's of which all I can remember is a truly memorable cover by your highly entertaining self, so a lasting impression on an impressionable fella!
Cheers big Frank and hope the Little Frank Op goes off well.
