    Radio Zumbido is an experimental one-member act, created by multi instrumentalist juan carlos barrios, who collects music and field recordings from the streets and especially the AM airwaves of his native Guatemala, creating some wonderfully unique music that exists between textural electronica and instrumental melodic folk. He has released 2 albums so far: "los ultimos dias del AM" (Palm Pictures, 2003) and "pequeno transistor transistor de feria"(Quatermass 2007). Apart from the savvy production, I also appreciate the way radio zumbido has interwoven electronic and latin music; his pastiche is seamless enough that it would be difficult to say he has appropriated one music into the context of the other" - Michael Sulivan, All Music Guide.
