    Rae Clark: acoustic guitar, vocals. I play a Martin 000-18 and a Stonebridge (Furch) 000-32sm. Both really nice 'small-bodied' guitars. When recording, I sometimes play bass, harmonica and keys. When I play live I use ' Rare Earth'' magnetic soundhole pickups

  • Influences

    Eclectic tastes really - not just roots / folk / acoustic. When it comes to singer-songwriters I like, I'd say in my younger days I've been influenced by John Martyn, Nick Drake, Richard Thomson, Bob Marley, JJ Cale, Hank Williams, Tim Buckley... but also some of the players I've listened to over the years on the local 'scenes' in the North East (where I'm from), Yorkshire (where I studied) and Liverpool (where I now live). I don't think people should get stuck in any one genre as a listener... as a musician maybe, but not as a listener... it's important not to be blinkered or limited by genre allegiances.
