Meet my band. The guys who have agreed to join me on my quest to country super stardom! Gravel Road:
Ric Davenport on Drums. Ric has been playing drums since the 6th grade. He played throughout high school and in various bands all his life. Including the National Guard Band at Camp Murray
Jordan Pitre: Keys. Unfortunately he is a die hard 49ers fan , however, he's pretty mean on a keyboard so we keep him around.
Henry Cheng: Lead Guitar, Henry was born in Taiwan. He immigrated to the US back when gasoline was fifty-five cents and bubble gum can be had for a dime. Banging on the guitar came about as a distraction from daily teen-age boredom. It was only a matter of time before it became a full time obsession. His early musical influences came from pop radio. When it comes to wielding the six-string, Henry sites Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, and Jeff Beck as heavy influences.
Chris Wadsworth: Bass, Chris began playing bass after moving to the Tri-Cities in 2002. A hobby turned into a passion, which turned into an all-consuming 4 string obsession. Chris has played in a wide variety of genres including rock, metal, funk, punk, hip-hop, blues, pop, country and cites Tye Zamora, Billy Gould, Tim Commerford and Francis "Rocco" Prestia as his major influences.
Bill Snickers: Band Manager and Sound Tech Extraordinaire
There are many a football throw downs between this avid SeaHawks fan and a 49ers fan named Jordan.
Influences
I try and model all my performances after Garth Brooks! I think he is the most amazing entertainer that there is. As for my music, there are so many greats to look up to. I really think where my inspiration comes from changes depending on what's going on in my life at the time.
If you hear hard-rockin' country that is true to its classic roots, you are probably listening to Rae Solomon! This Washington state native has a talent for captivating audiences, winning many awards including First Runner Up for TV Beauty of the Year and Singer of the Year at the International Presentation of Performers, out of 2,000 possible candidates.
Fortunate enough to work with the likes of renowned vocal coach Maestro David Kyle and retired Nashville concert promoter Deanna Robinson, Rae has put together a show that is an on-your-feet, boot-stomping good time! Her music is a true reflection of the classic sounds she grew up on; fused with the pop/rock flair that makes the country music of today so great.
As cliché as it may sound, Rae has been singing since she could talk. She wrote her first song at the age of 7 and began professional training at the age of 13. She found her influences from the likes of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and George Jones. Rae spent her childhood participating in every choir she could including a Jazz group that traveled around the state for competitions.
Growing up listening to ‘old country’ in rural Enumclaw, Washington Rae had big dreams from the start. Not only can she save a cowboy but she can ride a horse! As Enumclaw Rodeo Royalty 3 years running, she knows what it means to be ‘country’. This down-home upbringing may be the reason why fans find it so easy to relate to her.
Rae knows exactly what she wants and she's not afraid to go after it. Currently working on her Masters in Music Business at The Berklee School of Music, Rae is determined to succeed. From the ‘front porch’ stage she started on, with an audience of family members - to the stage she plays on today - the fans of Rae Solomon are bound to grow as she does. Her current focus is to build her repertoire and tour in her local market before relocating to Nashville. Ask Rae and she says, “My goal is to be a musician in every sense of the word. I want this to be my career, I want sold-out stadiums, Grammies, 1 hits…the whole nine!” She knows the sky is the limit and is ready and focused to make the most of her career.
