Raevnborn is a melodic black/heathen metal project by Rævn, though is certainly a departure from 'traditional' black metal; incorporating influences from black, doom, and viking/folk metal. Constantly in progress and ongoing, albeit slowly. Initial incarnations of tracks completed thus far:

The themes of Raevnborn are of Terra and the Firmament, the Arcane and the Elements, the Eternal Wandering, sorrow and the solace in Solitude. Paganism.
The name Raevnborn is derived from the "Raven-born" character concept from the novel A Cavern Of Black Ice by J.V. Jones. 'Rævn' being a long-used pseudonym (yes, the spelling is intentional...)
