Rafael Quevedo, Cuban, resides in Argentina since 1994. Composer and singer. Founder of La Nueva Trova Cubana. Born and raised in Santiago de Cuba.
Moved to Havana where he lived since 1980 to 1992. Then on tour to Rio de Janeiro from 1992 to 1993 and established in Mendoza, Argentina, since 1994.
Author of more than 300 songs, two CDs both recorded in Argentina, independent productions: "ALASDENTRO" -Wingsinside- from 2002 and "AUNQUE TE DIGA TODO" -Even If I Tell You All- released in August 2008 and many other songs recorded and sung by different artists. His influences come from La Trova Cubana, The Beatles, el Son, La Guajira, Rock, Blues, Bossa, Guaracha, Tango, etc, etc. His compositions, according to critics, are pure poetry. Rafael Quevedo, Cubano, reside en la Argentina desde 1994, compositor e interprete, fue fundador de la Nueva Trova, nacido y crecido en Santiago de Cuba desarrolló su última etapa como trovador en su país en la Habana 1980-92, luego Rìo de Janeiro-Brasil 1992-93 y en Argentina- Mendoza desde mediados del 94 hasta la fecha.
Tiene alrededor de 300 canciones, dos CDs ambos editados en Argentina, producciónes independientes, “ALASDENTRO” del 2002 y "AUNQUE TE DIGA TODO" de Agosto del 2008, mas canciones desperdigadas en discos colectivos, otras colaboraciones e intèrpretes. Su música nace de la Trova Cubana + Los Beatles y entronca con el son, la guajira, el rock, blues, el bossa, la canción, la guaracha, el tango etc. etc. Sus textos -según sus amigos- tienen una fuerte carga poética.
