Raf dj, zodiac sign Virgin, born in September 18 1973 in Sicily Island Italy.
Back in 1987 he understand that music would take a big part of his life
starting to be contaminated by so many music style, listening the music of so many artists like: Chaka Khan, M.F.S.B., Donna Summer, Kool & The Gang, Public Enemy, Eric B & Rakim, Steve Wonder, Barry White, Lisa Stanfield.
Since he was a child he frequented discos especially "Il Cerchio club" where he observed his Idol dj "Toti Marfia", at that time a famous dj of Palermo City, until when one day he understood that big love for the music would be give a sense of his life. In 1988 he started the first public performance as a dj around the city at private friends parties and in the city clubs, only after one year performed at "Il Cerchio" disco next to his dj Idol "Toti Marfia".
Early 90's his friend Ricky told him listen up a famous Italian Radio Station
called Radio Deejay especially "Dj Time Radio Show" with the legendary Dj/Mc Albertino. During this radio show Raf dj listen up "Disco Prezioso" performed by a great dj/scratcher Giorgio Prezioso, by that time Raf dj's booth performance has been influenced by this great scatcher creating a personal style.
After sometime among some dj booth and other in 1993 the famous music label Media Records starts 5th Dj Convention at Ischia Island "Naples" here he wins Silver Records, the second place to the Cutting & Scratch category. Since 1993 he started to be more notice and requested by Sicilian discos for his professional attitude and passion.
In the meanwhile he was influenced and motivated by new friends in music industry like:Daniele Tignino, Riccardo Piparo and Vincenzo Callea (Ti.Pi.Cal.), Roberto Masi (Blast), Giacomo Vena and Danilo Rispoli (The Cop), Mario Caminita (Clutch), discovering the world of record production and in 1999 he produce the first club track with the nickname "Raf n' Soul" titled "Old" released on "Rise Record"
At the sametime he keep the dj activity performing at exlusive parties in the clubs.Until to day he worked into Historic Sicily's clubs like: Il Cerchio (PA), CarpeDiem (PA), Pare Choc (PA), Imperium Athena (PA), Bier Garten, I Grilli Giu' (PA), Cafe' MoMA (PA), Il Moro Beach Club (PA), Villa Oliva (PA), Cafe' Socety (PA), Planet (Isola delle Femmine), Matrix Disco (Terrasini), Joe Cuba (PA), PalaTime (PA), Scalea Club (PA), Movid@ Carini (PA), Poison Ivy (Cefalu'), Pacha' (TP), Exotica Disco (Sciacca), Sole & Luna Club Pantelleria Island (TP), Discoteca Mirage Pantelleria Island (TP), Oxidiana Disco Pantelleria Island (TP), Oasi di Venere Dinner club Pantelleria, C-Side (MI), New Jimmis Club (Riccione).
In these clubs he worked with the pioneer djs like :Marco Trani, Tony Humphries, Danny Buddha Morales, Junior Sanchez, Paolo Martini, Claudio Coccoluto, Ralf, Benji Candelario, Ivan Iacobucci, Victor Simonelli.
In the mean while he was able to mantein the music producer carrier, year 2004 under nickname “Rockefeller” he produced track called "I Feel America" feat.Tony Marino released on Plan Rec. a member label of New Music International, year 2007 under nickname "THE NEWYORKER" he produced the track titled "MUSIC IN..." feat.ROBY TAMBURELLO on Tracks4djs rec. the IVAN IACOBUCCI digital label, year 2008 "RAF N' SOUL feat.TONY MARINO - Man on the prowl" on GottakeepFaith records a well-know digital label this last release remixed by great dj/producer from France, Spain, Ita, Croatia e supported by great readio program in the world like:"Dj JEANNIE HOPPER" from Liquid Sound Lounge NewYorkCity, "RadioFg" Paris-France, Babypowder Session a "DJFM" RADIO MIX SHOW NewJersey USA , SOULFUL HOUSE SESSIONS a "DJ RENAY" RADIO MIX SHOW Brooklyn NYC, "UDM SHOW" RADIO PROGRAM by "DJ MARK STONE & VALENTINO" Switzerland, also supported by top DJS like: VICTOR SIMONELLI nyc, TONY CARRASCO USA, TEDD PATTERSON nyc , IVAN IACOBUCCI Ita , DINO ANGIOLETTI from Pastaboys, DJ SWEET NYC, CIAPPY DJ IITA/NYC, ANTONELLO COGHE Ita/nyc, DJ JACKO Ita/nyc and many more.
by year 2005 until today he presents a radio mix show called NewYorkTime on Radio Time a well-know Sicilian Radio Station www.radiotime.it where every saturday night you can the best club music choice and so many interviews to pioneers of dance culture.
