These days my interests include sewing and making stuff, reclaiming women's work while at the same time remaining somewhat of a feminist. Love vegan and raw food (un)cooking, my garden, the beach, hoop dancing, yoga, juggling, twirling poi and fire, handstands, somersaults, cartwheels, back flips, painting henna all over beautiful people, embroidery, painting (walls), running away with the circus, bike rides, and anything that can be done with a two year old.
One day I will get back to the fine art that was once my everything. I've been sidetracked making pretty things out of fabric and other crafty mediums but pottery will always be in the depths of my soul.
A few years ago I saw something called contact acro and since I am a lover of contact improvisation as well as a lifelong acrobat and performer I fell in love... and I fell hard. (that's me to your right all upside down and blissful floating on the feet of the Liberace of Yoga!) Now it's called Acro Yoga and you can find out more about it here. You may just fall in love yourself.
On Thursdays I sing, juggle and tap dance to 80's tunes in my garage. Tix are available but not required.

I'm into many different types of music. Love reggae! 10 ft Ganja Plant, John Brown's Body, Finely Quaye, Augustus Pablo, and Matisyahu to name a few. And then there was Phish.... Can't say enough about all of the phabulous times these guys have given me! Many tours, many shows, many broken down VW's.... Can't wait for these guys to reunite, if only for one show! And don't think of telling me it's not gonna happen for

I don't get out much for movies but I did see the Moulan Rouge for the first time last week and keep playing parts of it over and over just for the costuming. Plus, my two year old is a big fan! I'd say his favorite thing to watch is The Wiz. And somehow he's figured out who Michael Jackson is... Lord help us all! A couple of my all time faves are Rockers, an old school reggae movie, and True Romance.
Ahhhh... what is there to say about oneself? I'm a WAHM (Work At Home Mama) involved in a few websites that I design and create for. I teach Theatre and Art to kids in Junior Kindergarten-4th Grade. This semester I am teaching a recycled craft class...we turn junk into funk. I also run a small vegan catering business. I am a Libra and a procrastinator. My tiniest friends call me Tornado Gurl.
